-Blackholes.
How about having the blackhole at the center of the galaxy suddenly become active and spew gamma rays throughout the galaxy, vaporizing entire star clusters. But how, you may ask, did this black hole become active? Well, the only way one can. Some one put something large into it, so, that could be an opening for any nerds or the like who know how this kind of thing works, to dump dark matter into it, taken from the surrounding aria using gravitons and space time warping, as is supported by the many worlds interpretation, along with the string theory and the M theory.

-6th dimensional shifts.
You can only move in four directions, up and down axis, left and right axis, forward and backwards axis and forward and backwards in time. Right? wrong. There are 11 ways in which things can move, one of which is where the fundamental energy that makes up everything, strings, all vibrating at different frequencies, move in a expansive direction, dependent on how much energy is put into them, they can expand to the point that they form a fabric known as the brane, which is supported by the string and the M theories. The brane is the fabric on which everything sits, all matter and energy. So, there for, the smallest possible particle is also the biggest possible fabric. And what happens if there are two branes close together, moving towards each other? Well, if you are made up of open ended strings,

(which you are, unless you've done some tampering with the quantum foam, in which case, your lucky your alive. And how, exactly, are you using a computer? seeing that you cant touch any open ended strings?)

You can't see, hear or detect in anyway (apart from gravitons) that the other brane is there, and since a brane can harbor another universe, you could be sitting mere .00000000000001 plank times (a very small measurement used in measuring quarks and the Big Bang.) away from a black hole in another brane and you would never know. ever.

Now, what happens if they touch? well, you can all the sudden see, hear and feel the other universe, so anything can start randomly appearing out of thin air. Black holes, toasters, people, planets, galaxies, dunkin dough nuts, you name it.

I can do more, but those are my two favorite ones. And by science, do you mind thought experiments too?

I hope that was a joke whoster. To be honest I think Imma throw out the old Karthla magic crap and do some scientific ways that explain each thing. I've already redone the undead Karthla in a scientific process.

I'm starting to dislike some of the non-receptive ways sarcasm is recieved from some of the inner members. (Note, when I say inner members I mean the person telling the joke)

This is my all time favorite thought experiment/s:
-Schrodinger's cat, Quantum suicide and immortality.
You know how in the Schrödinger's cat experiment, the cat is both dead and alive as long as nothing is aware of its existence and/or is watching it in any way? right? Well, as you probably know, this experiment doesn't just apply to cats, you can have a Schrodingers man, woman, whatever. Unfortunately, I cannot give a very precise, black and white example, because there are so many variables present, but I'll try to give the general gist of it.

Okay say we take Exo, its regenerative and has a good biological reboot system. And lets say its injected with Azulian spider anti-venom, (The venom is a neuro toxin and the anti-venom is a hyper neuro stimulant) which is just as deadly as the venom is because it has to cancel the venom out exactly, with non left over of it dies.

Then, we take a robot, that records data, analyzes it then deletes it, nothing is recorded. So there for it does not effect the experiment.

The robot moves the incapacitated Exo (It has to be, otherwise it ruins the experiment because it recorded data.) into a black box that looks exactly like the box in the original Schrödinger's cat experiment, for laughs, then, it injects it with the venom.

The venom has a 49% chance of working, in which case you get a normal, living Exo, and a 49% chance of not working, in which case you get a normal dead Exo. But then theres the 1% chance that theres a bit of the neuro toxin left over, resulting in a dumber mental case, or a 1% chance that there is a bit of the stimulant left over and you get a hyperactive... a more hyperactive mental case.

This is supported by the multiple worlds interpretation, string theory and the M theory.

Actually the Schrodinger's cat thing was Schtodinger's attempt to show that micro fysics can't be implimented to macro world straight away. Let's take the Quantum tunnelling for an example. It means that when a particle hits a solid barrier, it has a chance to appear on the other side, even if it doesn't have enough energy to actually penetrate the wall. This can't be transferred to macro level, as it would mean that if you walked towards a wall enough times, you would eventually instead of hitting it appear on the other side. This, obiviously, won't happen. Still, I guess if you forgot your keys inside, its worth a try to try this several times, just in case.

This wasn't strictly Schrodingers cat, as I mentioned above... and it more of a demented version of a probability experiment, in which, if your going with the many worlds theorem all possible outcomes must happen in some time line. If you'fe read about Quantum suicide and immortality it makes a bit more sense.

I don't mind black holes and such, but I really don't like the idea of mixing in alternate universes, when most of the story takes place in only one galaxy, and there's more galaxies in existence than I'd care to count. I am smart in regards to things like psychology, because research is a hobby and such, but I don't really like physics, because for me letters and numbers do not mix, and I just wind up with a headache. I don't know how I get an A in algebra, when I can't make sense of what I'm supposed to be doing in the first place. All I know is that I mess up horribly on the tests, and that pretty much undermines all the effort I put into homework. My last test dropped me down to either a C or a B.

Just saying, I'd rather keep RG limited to one universe (Unless you want a Dark matter/Antimatter/Nether Dimension), for the sake of keeping it simple enough for people to understand what's going on. I'd rather the rule be that you can only do something if you can explain scientifically how it occurs.

Just a personal opinion, I don't really like alternate dimensions, universes, or time travel. When that happens, It's something that I don't know much about, and don't care to research because I wind up stuck reading equations I don't understand. I only wind up frustrated, confused, and feel like a complete idiot because I can't make sense of it. That's why I tend to lapse in and out of RG RP's, because they're mostly on a level where there are entire armies being controlled at once, and mostly technology, with little to no focus on a single character that doesn't have a team of NPC's to control or follow his orders.

Just saying, science is good, but I don't like it when it completely dominates the RP to the point that it's too complex for me to understand what's happening.

I find it helps when calculating long equations if you think of each number, not as a just a 4 or a 3 but as a entire number line and we can only see the 4 or the 3 in that number line because the rest of it stretches out into others dimensions.

God-mod, as I said, it's not fun for me to be involved with numbers. I am not someone who enjoys pure facts. I like a little bit of mystery in stories, just for the purpose of coming up with ways to solve them, so long as they aren't making it illogical, or become so elaborite that I give up trying to figure them out.

I roleplay because it helps me relieve stress, and when it gets to the point where things confuse me, it does the exact opposite. That's why I sometimes cease to RP in a certain place, even if others post, because I give up trying to understand something that's incredibly important.

Just saying, the last thing we need in RG, where we already have an elaborite web of wars and alliances and storylines, is to mix in infinite alternate universes and timelines, because then new planets or races are coming out in spaceships from a different dimension, or worse, people start running into themselves because they have a million universes with copies of themselves that are only different in one aspect.

Just saying, I've already been in several RPs like that, and I never truly enjoyed them because I couldn't follow the plot or turn of events. For me, too much order regarding science is almost the same as disorder.

I'm just the opposite, I rollplay so I don't get bored and have a form or OCD towards things that aren't exactly correct... but yeah, I see where you're coming from... You'd get the exact same reaction out of me if you started talking about 'feelings' and 'likeing people', my mind just doesn't work that way... so, no 6th dimensional shifts, only minor time line intersections (as in it only applies to my characters sometimes.) and no... Schrödinger's cat... *sob*.

Is there any where I should draw the line in regards to insane characters? because, most of my characters are messed up in some regard.

I actually don't mind insanity. They add lots to the story, I think. As long as you portray disorders and such accurately, I have no problem with it. Besides, if you're good at making characters with mental 'issues' (Not everything is an issue), then go for it. There's a lot you can do with personalities and the mind. People tell me I have Asperger's, possibly with a bit of ADD mixed in, and obviously, those sound like complete opposites. It's fun to see what you can do with insanity and mentalities, and it's especially fun to see how other people react to those characters.

I think that phrase was devised in response to how most great artists/authors (Van Gogh, and Edgar Allan Poe) had mental problems. I mean it when I say I researched Van Gogh, and it was crazy how many disorders he had.

I too remember hearing about that. Another brilliant lunatic is Nicola Tesla. If I've heard right he was, among other things, was married to a tree, and once used 2000 dollars to pach pigeons broken wing. He also made over 300 patents, and has he's name as a SI unit measure.

he was also the inventer of the tenology bhind the radio, but was dumb enough to let so guy by the name of Macroni steal it all. The patents were later awarded to him in the 1950's, long after his death.
