LORD KRADUS DRAWING CONTEST

HELLO! I want to see how the community can draw Kradus, and what all of you can do with him. Because you guys rock at drawing. Here's a description of Kradus:

Very tall, very muscular. He has four long horns on his head that curve inward and are very smooth and darkly colored. He has black skin/scales and slit-like red eyes. The eyes are very evil looking and strike fear into opponents. Kradus has enormous black claws on his hands and feet. He has large feet similar to a carnivorous dinosaur. He has large scales and spikes that shoot down his spine and give him a terrifying appearance. He usually wears black and red armor and a long black cape that is hinged to his shoulder pads. He has a very long tail with a huge spike on the end of it as well.

Well, that's about it, I really want to see what can be done with him. The key is: lots of black and red. Really give him an evil, scary look. Remember, this realł isn't much of a contest, just a project I'd like to start. Thanks!

I might give you something later. I'm busy with some other things right now. I have two requests to honor, and I'm also working on a drawing of Jiiran without his armor.

By the way, how tall exactly is Kradus? If he and Jiiran come face to face, I'd like to know how they compare. (Jiiran is eight and a half feet in height).

It really varies. With Kradus' new Karthla abilities he can change his height. But yeah I'd say somewhere about eight or nine feet. He's enormous now.

I wish I had some sort of idea of what to draw, I can draw creatures easily, but armor was never a strong point of mine.

Well, you don't necessarily need to draw the armor. As Lon as he has some sort of evil-looking clothes and a black cape it's fine.

Could you give me some ideas of where exactly the red and black would be on him?

I did a little editing to darken the cape and add red color to the eyes, but I couldn't do much to make it look like a color image. Here's the drawing I did of Lord Kradus, please note the armor isn't exactly how you specified, but I still think it looks cool. I also went for less dinosaur-like in shape, and more of a humanoid form, because I need to practice drawing human-like figures and such more often.

Awesome Vipera! That looks so good, thank you. This will help people visualize him a bit more. I did imagine his horns to be a bit longer, but that's extremely like how I imagined him. Great job!

Well, the horns can't be any longer, or they would have run off the page...

"Since love and fear can hardly exist together, if we must choose between them, it is far safer to be feared than loved" -Niccolo Machiavelli

It's still uncolored pencilwork because one: I don't have my computer set up, and two: I want some room for improvement. I liberally took inspiration from the Daedric armor and spore creation, as Darkel suggested.

HAIL KRADUS!

And a Krathunian's on his right. I would expect nothing less from Kradus.

I didn't quite get what you meant by "curled in horns" so I was wondering if you meant like ram horns, or are they spiraled in inwards (being mostly straight up?) Here's what I have of Lord Kradus so far. Sorry for my confusion :[

Yes, it has a sort of manga spin to it's design.

I know it's probably not much help, but based on Kradus' early designs, I personally took the meaning of curled-in horns that if you looked at Kradus in a frontal view, and put an imaginary line down the center of his face, you'd notice that his horns seem to curve towards the center line a little bit, sort of like an antelope or pronghorn. Generally depictions have the horns being long and sharp like spikes, I haven't really seen ram-like horns.

Yeah, Vipera is right. That's pretty much how it goes. If it's any consolation, I had a sculptris Kradus head I was working on that had really good horns. I haven't really painted it that much, but I could upload it to give you an idea of the horn shape.

That drawing is pretty impressive, and looks awesome. Great work! Very Happy
