The neo-Kar'Geualiea Imperium Empty The neo-Kar'Geualiea Imperium

After my absence, I decided it would be best to revamp my old empire. Below is a re telling of the events that transpired between the KGI and the Forlarm, a growing description of the new government of the KGI, their current military standing and the current underseers. This is by no means complete or a final draft.

The one battle war

It had been ... daring, to say the very least. A smart person would say stupid, a smarter person would say suicidal, but the Forlarm high command had done it anyway. For untold centuries they had hounded their old enemies, snapping at their heels like angry dogs. Now, despite so much hard work, the KGI was at the height of its power. Dominance of a budding galaxy, an empire run on slaves and grinding metal. Their grasp was weak, however, dependant on the threat of a galactic catastrophe in the form of perhaps the most devastating weapon ever built. Even the Forlarm, so attuned to the Kar'Geualiea and their cunning, had over looked the power of an Über-terraformer. No one expects the planet itself to turn on them, sucking away all fluid and evaporating it. A dead galaxy was a happy one for a Kar.

In response to this threat, the Forlarm had attacked with all their strength in one final end to their eternal war. The plan had been the simplest ever devised. Rush in with everything they had, destroy the drainer and flee like maggots. 40,000 fully armed warships against a single space station. I might have worked too, if hubris hadn't over come them. Instead of meeting one space station and a few frigates at the other end of jump-space, they met a royal armada, in full military formation, armed and already at battle stations. There had been no leak in security, however. The forlarm had simply attacked at the wrong time. Emperor Scrylis had been called to the drainer to name the new KG-56 class cruiser, the first of its kind, and had not gone unprepared.

If they had waited just a mere moment later, the plan might have worked. Instead, despite all the power the Forlarm had mustered and all the hope they had invested, the battle ended in slaughter. But, it had not been a total failure. Of course, the battle marked the end of any form of Forlarm military presence, the enslavement of their race and the death of millions, but it had sparked something among the other slaves. All kinds of races and creatures banded together and resisted their masters. It was, in essence, an unstoppable uprising. For every slave the KGI killed, a dozen more were incited to take up the rebellion. All across the new galaxy, from the desert fighting pits to the crystal mining centres and the lunar mansions, slaves shrug off their collars, broke their shackles and took up arms.

The one dominating empire lost its hold on their galaxy. Swathes of space were liberated and formed republics and sovereignties. Kingdoms and merchant alliances rose on once unappreciated planets and took up arms to liberate even more of the slaves. Headed by a creature called Vologonogo, the revolution spread and spread and spread, until even Kar'Geualiea themselves started to resist Scrylis. They didn't defect to the rebels, no, but were still against their emperor. Dissent rose up the ranks, a dark claw threatening to swallow the whole empire, until one day, on a frankly backwater planet, emperor Scrylis was assassinated by a sentinel droid. As was Vologonogo at the same time. The underseers took the power and, in response to the slave uprising, took the annihilation option. Underseer Vortai activated the galaxy drainer, their ultimate weapon.

And the galaxy died.

Tragically, a more advanced empire could have resisted the wave of electro kinetic energy that sucked the life from entire worlds. But this galaxy was young, unlearned and ignorant. The death toll was incomprehensible. Four horsemen rode that day, the day of the greatest genocide in all of history. Though to act came at a cost. The KGI lost most of its slaves, a blow that was frankly just collateral damage. More prominently, the galaxy drainer suffered a malfunction. The energy amplifiers surrounding the core were irreparably damaged. Though not irreplaceable, it would take time for it to reach such great power again.

With the emperor dead and the uprising stomped, the underseers began to write up a new government. Their hereditary government ended, a mock democratic one took its place. The underseers kept their titles, to avoid unnessicary confusion, but their titles became successive. Upon the death of an underseer, their previously named successor would rise to the mantle. If no successor was named, one would be chosen by the other underseers. At the top of the pyramid was the despot, elected from among the underseers, by the underseers. Vortai became the first despot of the neo-KGI, lord of the wastes, shield of the super weapon, lord commander of the grand armada and protector of the good blood.

The Kar'numericals

The one battle war, as it had been dubbed by many, had left the empire in tatters. Though there was little infrastructural damage, the slave labour force had been scythed through, only a minority of them still alive. To combat this shortage, the underseers outlined their new empire to accommodate rapid growth. The growth stations were devised. Rather than enslave those they conquered, underseer Dohiris proposed the fabrication of their own sub-species to fill the gap left by the slaves. He began construction of three space stations, using the left over vulture drones and a portion of organic minions, with the sole purpose of custom engineering inferior Kar'Geualiea organisms.

In doing so, Dohiris was able to specialise different forms of sub-species for different tasks. Each one was slightly different from the last, either stronger, faster, bigger or smaller. Every sub-species was mostly identical to the main Kar but each was a different colour or shade of colour. Each breed of slave was given a numerical code, hence the name Kar'numericals. A list of major numerical breeds will be written up below.

The three stations that perpetually produce the slaves, Kronos, Rhea and Prometheus, were constructed near the galaxy drainer to maximise their defences.

KN-01
The generic slave breed, similar in height and build to the average Kar but both mute and castrated. Their skin is a deep orange, not quite the crimson of pure blood Kars, so that they can be used domestically. KN-01 were the first breed to be manufactured and therefore are the most simple. Primarily used as man-servants, they are a common sight in the major population centres of the KGI.

KN-34
It took several attempts to create the KN-34, the construction slave. Very tall and very muscular, KN-34 have neural implants implemented at birth. They have no semblance of intelligence but receive commands from their neural implants. Their skin is aqua colour.

KN-37
Commonly called the cannon fodder unit, they are only used in planetary invasions. Quick and easy to produce but with little skill in anything else, KN-37 are deployed in hordes to absorb the initial resistance of enemy armies. They have no combat ability, but their appearance and similarities to the Kar-Geualiea make it near impossible to resist wasting ammo on them. Their skin is a dark pink.

Current holdings

After the one battle war, the Kar'Geualiea were left with just the centre of their galaxy in their control. Approximately 407 star systems with around 1000 colonised planets and dozens of space stations between. With the galaxy drainer undergoing repairs, the underseer council has named the planet of Ultheryia as political capital. Ultheryia has no cities on it, but is the home of many extravagantly wealthy individuals and is dotted with sprawling mansions and senates. (OOC- imagine a global version of the kremlin).

Current military power

Underseer Olygria, lord of the armada, is currently commander in chief, not including Vortei. He commands several large fleets and dozens of smaller ones. His admirals all command unique flagships and have considerable forces under their control.

Olygria's personal flagship, the Genesis, is a modified K-48 cruiser, built in a larger scale with approximately 500 artillery batteries, 1000 small anti-fighter machine phasers and three heavy fusion cannons. Other than its extensive armaments, the genesis carries a legion of vulture, reaper and spider drones constantly on high alert with two more legions in power saving hibernation. To power all this, the genesis is fitted with a tri-core organi generator (see below).

Significant classes of cruisers are (in order of strength and lethality):
KG-09 manaclaw cruiser
KG-30 corvette frigate
KG-32 battle cruiser
KG-15 destroyer
KG-35 fighter carrier
KG-20 stealth cruiser
KG-45 dreadnought
KG-48 Behemoth warship
KG-56 devourer

Significant Classes of fighters new age fighters:
KG-11 reaver fighter
KG-31 dragon bomber
KG-22 reaper vanguard
KG-40 mite-pod
KG-50 griffin bomber
KG-04 raven lander

Significant Unique cruisers and their commanders:
Genesis- Underseer Olygria
Chrysalis- commander Xiaia (the witch queen)
Haters glory- commander Excitra
Madman- commander Cortinei
Deaths descent- commander Ixscillis

Current underseers:
Vortei- despot
Olygria- military
Dohiris- industry
Alletrivis- economy
Scrysathen- enlightenment

The new ideal:

"Kar'Geualiea are the superior beings. All life must be Kar or must be an instrument of Kar. The bad blood will be subjugated."
A common ideal that arose during the one battle war. Many Kars began to think that only they could bring order to the universe, that so long as others existed all would be in chaos and anarchy. This was the basis of the neo-KGI's political system. If it can't be made to further their own ends, it will be enslaved so that it does so. Many Kars now follow this elitist idea.

It's gonna be awesome once we get the plot in the present going, and the neo-KGI comes to power.
