A fun idea? Empty A fun idea?

This is something one or two other members have sort of done, and it's something that I've considered in one form or another. My idea is this: Create a thread where we each put forth a creature that we made up (i.e. Vara Lord, a Vatarri; ViperaUnion, a Chimerosu: Whoster, a Jorro'kil etc.) of our own choosing, and other members would try to draw that creature. The winner would be whoever the original creator thinks best captured that creature/thing. We could go in turns at this.

Let me know what you think.

I like the idea. I just don't know there's enough time and devotion to go around to commit to a contest like that.

That would be the biggest problem.

Still, if it doesn't fly, you might just see some of your own creatures ending up in my art section. I've been wanting to try drawing you guys' stuff for a while.

I'm down for it, but I've lost my pencil stash and am not very confident with the drawing pad yet.

I already have a bust sketch of a Vattari? (whatever the horse things with horns are) and a concept idea of what I thought a Karthla looked like though (probably completely wrong).

@Randomnator Yes, those are Vatarri. Check out my art section to see my most recent, and I think best, sketch of what the males look like (the females don't have horns or eyebrow crests).

I think I might have a lot of trouble with doing this because even if I do a really awesome job of drawing anatomical features, I'm terrible with armor and clothing.

I'm not that good with clothes myself.

I've had a thought about this. Instead of making a contest of some kind, perhaps we could just start a thread in this section that is specifically dedicated to pictures people have made that are of other people's creations, and if the original creator feels so inclined, they can critique it.

Sorry for the triple post, but I have something for Whoster:

What do you think, Whos? Did I do this right? Let me know.

Much better than I could do. I will say, you have overemphasized the pectoral muscles. Jorro'kil muscles aren't particularly prominent. They're mostly buried beneath the interwoven feathers. I definitely like the upper arm plumage though.
