Anime Discussion
...I can't believe someone hasn't made this yet.
Discuss anything to do with anime here. Just... nothing that breaks the guidelines (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Re: Anime Discussion
No. I don't think RG would really be a good anime. I've always imagined RG as an extremely high-graphic/detail computer animated motion picture or video game.
But on the topic of animes, my favorites are Claymore and Death Note. I have recently begun watching Kill la Kill, which so far has been great as well.

Re: Anime Discussion
The first few episodes aren't as good, but as you get into Claymore, it gets better and better. The finale was absolutely amazing. The villain in Claymore is one of my favorite anime villains. But I won't spoil things for you.

Re: Anime Discussion
Currently, I'm watching Kyoukai no Kanata, or Beyond the Boundary. I quite like it, especially the animation and voice acting.

@ Darkel: After you finish Kill la Kill, watch Gurren Lagann. It's made by many of the same people and is also incredibly good.
I'll have to check out Claymore sometime.

I can confirm that Gurren Lagann is the hypest thing ever. I've watched it several times over and shouted a lot while doing so. It's so stupid but so awesome at the same time.

Re: Anime Discussion
You probably have heard these alot, but I have to recommend at least Cowboy bebop, and Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood. Both take some distance to typical anime and their cliches, being more western in style and story, at least in my opinion. Especially the cowboy bebop.

Why are swords in anime so ridiculously huge? It's like swords are to Anime what explosions are to Michael Bay.

Re: Anime Discussion
I think people just go along with a train of thought that it looks epic when a person in the story is capable of swinging around a sword twice their height and ten times their weight.
My own personal favorite Anime were Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist, and One Piece.

Watching Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood right now. It's pretty amazing. My favorite character is current Roy Mustang, for whom I've met the english voice actor at an unrelated convention.

Re: Anime Discussion
Full Metal Alchemist is another of my favourites. The original anime adaption has a pretty meh ending, but Brotherhood fixes that by actually having the rest of the manga to follow.

Re: Anime Discussion
I read the manga before I started watching the Anime, but I found my new favorite Anime villain, Hakumen no Mono. He's armed with this huge array of very strong supernatural powers, and then he has the creepiest eyes, and a child-like voice that only seems to grow more unnerving the more you hear it.
