Hello and welcome to the new Ruthless Galaxy RP, Divided Paths. A storyline moved away from the main events of The Disruption, this RP will focus on the other races and sides of races not as well known, though all empires are welcome here.  Here you may introduce a race you've been wanting to get involved in the RP, or a faction of an already involved race that you want to explore.

Chapter 1
Judgment
Summary: Jorro'kil Purists led by radical Velsen Arkel assassinate several Krathunian ambassadors on the planet Ekest, but were stopped by Krathunian Sentinel Nvarn Reventus, Strike Trooper Straus Xuvehr, and Markovan ambassadors Tissin de Dazmir and Nazzi se Ginnri. Liirlith presence within Jorro'kil Free Absolute territory was recognized after an agent known as Najii inflamed the Purist terrorist act, and was eventually killed by Straus Xuvehr, though not before managing to kill Tissin de Dazmir. A Markovan official aligned with the Liirlith was also discovered and arrested.
Chapt. 1 Subplots
A Sandy Situation - Nevarzian Survivalists make contact with the Arenam Collatio and negotiate a trade agreement; Markovan officials arrive shortly thereafter to discuss diplomatic relations.
A Snake in the Dark - A Felinite mercenary is recruited by a Liirlith operative known as Zara; the mercenary proceeds to wreak havoc in Markovan and Felinite diplomacy.

I think I'll bring some character sheets in to help this get going. Here's the first.

1. Character Name: Sentinel Nvarn Reventus (There are 3 Sentinels, the others being Theranis and Miral)
2. Character/Empire Picture: N/A at the moment, but I'll get one soon.
3. Character Description: Nvarn Reventus is a highly regarded figure and soldier within the Krathunian military. He is currently leading operations in cooperation with the Jorro'kil military against insurgents within the empire of the latter. Nvarn is middle aged for a Krathunian at 63 years old- Despite this, he is full of energy and very ambitious. Towards others, upon initially meeting them, he can be rather aloof and distant, though once you get to know him you'll find that he is very pleasurable to be around and modest. In terms of combat prowess, Nvarn is extremely respected. Before he attained his rank, he was among the best infiltrators and saboteurs the Covenant had to offer. His physical abilities are strengthened due to cybernetic implants that give Nvarn increased speed, strength, and heightened senses (Think of him as the Ravage or Isbar of the Krathunians). He will actively participate with his troops on the battlefield, like many other military officials.
4. Character History: Nvarn was born in the year 14335 AE (Krathunian dating system, AE is After Enlightenment) on Protun, the central and capital planet of the Krathunians New Worlds. His mother was a systems engineer for the shield world and his father was a commanding officer in the military. At age 11, a plague swept through Protun, killing both of Nvarn's parents. For the next couple of years Nvarn had to survive by scavenging and stealing, which likely gave him a predisposition for stealth combat. When he reached the age of 15 he joined the Krathunian military like all others his age and quickly showed talent at fighting. Nvarn ascended the ranks, specializing in espionage and sabotage of Dominion worlds. When the Dominion collapsed Nvarn started to work closely with the Jorro'kil in eliminating the Purist threat.
5. Other: Nvarn's preferred weapons are long range rifles and combat energy knives. His is particularly talented with the knives, able to use them to a great advantage.

1. Character Name: Velsen Arkel
2. Character/Empire Picture: N/A
3. Character Description: Velsen is a Jorro'kil Purist, a radical who believes all alien life must be purged from within the Jorro'kil Empire, and without, to return to what they believe is their true calling to conquer all. He believes strongly in The Truth of Ourselves theory, that the Jorro'kil came about by a freak accident involving a type of magnetic pull which was theorized to have created the Jorro'kil. he believes that the Krathunians are little more than fervent liers who tricked the Jorro'kil into believing they created them, and such hates the Krathunians, amng the other races the Jorro'kil are allied with. Velsen has led several riots in his home colony against the acceptance of xenoforms into their society. However, he has pity on those that do believe aliens should be welcomed, and would never harm another Jorro'kil unless he absolutely had to.
4. Character History: Velsen was born on one of the fringe colonies in the year Jorro'kil year 9,979, a relatively recently established colony as well, and this colony, located on the planet Ekest. Unfortunately, this planet came under attack by the Dominion when he was 17, and while it was saved by stopping the Karthla before they could infest Ekest, he witnessed several of his friends and neighbors murdered by the Karthla, though he himself was not killed due to the intervention of the Jorro'kil military. Arkel's mind was from then on biased against any alien lifeforms, and most of his early education had been before the Jorro'kil encountered any races with which they established an alliance, seeing many reports about the destruction of opposing spacefaring races and the glorification of their destruction. He was opposed to the alliance with the Zolan Empire and most alliances from thence on. Oddly, his views of intolerance rest lighter in regards to the Wreae, as he considers them not so much aliens but what they basically are: Machines.

SO, One of the main story arcs will be about the Jorro'kil Purists, a faction of the Jorro'kil who have the desire to eradicate any aliens allied with the Jorro'kil, believing them to be akin to an infection, in short they despise aliens and wish to return to the conquerer ways of the Jorro'kil Free Absolute before they had made any alliances during the Ruthless War, simply stomping out other empires they encountered.

Also, just so everyone knows, unlike the Disruption, in this RP you may play as a member of any species so long as the owner of the other race OKs it.

I'm planning on having one of the Vrentus Primes participate in this RP and the other two in the Disruption. The Protector is definitely in the Disruption, and will be heavily involved with the Continuum Corrupter plot. I think since the Destroyer is now interacting with the Markovans I'm going to enter The Deceiver.


1. Character Name: The Deceiver
2. Character/Empire Picture: N/A, I'll draw one soon though.
3. Character Description: The Deceiver is one of three Vrentus Primes, a hyperintelligent energy being residing deep within a heavily secure world. However, the Prime, like the others of its kind, also has a secondary body under its direct command that it can control from a distance, though it is still able to communicate from its actual location. This is likely the body that will be seen most often in the RP. This form is a mech around 15 feet tall, and its design is reminiscent of UFIAI machines. Unlike the Wreae, it does not have a smooth body armor. Rather, it has a thickly armored design that is somewhat blocky in design. It is bipedal, with two arms that reach to around the waist of the machine before it continues into the legs. It has retractable arm-like appendages from the back that contain weapon systems. The Prime is nonetheless very cunning, using its strength to fool its opponents, for one example. The Prime has many Vrentus under its command and several worlds, and can directly speak to its controlled almost telepathically. He is not only meant to be on the front lines, but is also a very able tactician from behind.
4. Character History: Not much is known about the origins of the Vrentus, though being a Prime it is implied that The Deceiver is one of the oldest of the energy beings. During the Collective's oppression and use against the R'lek by the Krathunian Covenant, the Deceiver, like the other Primes, studied their opponent and attacked with the full force of the Vrentus at the correct moment. During the war the Deceiver was most notable for its trickery and strategy. However, afterwards, it went into a stasis until recent events arose it.

3:Character Description: Najii is an infiltrator. His job is to sneak into the territory of other aliens and learn as much about them as he can. He also must collect DNA samples if he can, and carries with him a special utility belt that contains a variety of tools for his trade, as well as a personal cloaking device.
4:Character History: Najii was raised in the standard way for all Liirlith. He was carefully brainwashed from birth, being raised to believe in everything the Liirlith stand for. At adolescence, he was tapped for infiltration, and was highly successful, making collections from Krathunians, Markovans and even Karthla undetected.

At first, no one but the Purists knows of their plans for an assassination, and if your character, and one I'll make soon, is there, they'll just be for security. Then, however, things can degrade into confusion, but gradually become re-organized and a proper investigation can start.

3. Character Description: Suflet Călit fights with more than just savegery like most Nisip. He studied more in the field of intelligence than fighting. He has no empathy for anyone at all and is willing to sacrifice an entire army to keep his citizens safe. Though he only wants his citizens alive so there is someone to kiss his organ sac. He is very full of himself though carries the natural cautiousness that resides in the heart of every Nisip.
4. Character History: Like half of the Nisip, Suflet Călit was destined for soldierhood. He always trained harder than his classmates and was even made fun of for how devoted he was to learning more than just combat skills. On the day of when they were all to be tested in the arena, Suflet Călit fought with more than just savagery. He used his surroundings, he calculated things as he fought. His ultimate victory in the arena gave him the title of General. After receiving his rank he led a team to terraform and colonize another planet. This was not difficult as this other planet was already close to what their homeworld was like. He carries a Final Fantasy sized blade with a solar powered battery attached to it. This also means the sword has no electric current during the night, or in dark places.

3. Character Description: Straus is a Jorro'kil Strike Trooper, and also Commander among his unit. He is no longer a career soldier, as he once wanted to be, and once he is done with his current serving time, plans to leave, and possibly open a gun shop on a Jorro'kil colony, being well trained and knowledgable with all weapons which he has used. He speaks with a light German accent. Straus is very pragmatic and logical, and also slightly pessimistic, after his years of experience. However, he is still a very devoted soldier, and will do all that he can to serve. Straus respects the Krathunians, and is honored to work with them. He does, however, consider some of their beliefs as strange, such as the Pact of Stone. He is saddened at the hatred which the Purists view all xenoforms with, but is also hardened enough to deal harshly when he must, even against his own kind.
4. Character History: Straus was born on the planet Kaxzue-9, a planet in the middle of Jorro'kil territory and undisturbed by the events of the various small wars and the Dominion War. Xuvehr, upon reaching the age of 22, he enlisted for the army and was placed in the reserve ranks. After an incident in which the Dominion destroyed a special shipment route, and then fortified a Jorro'kil world with their own defenses, he was sent in with the ground troops to help break down the Dominion's planetside defenses. In an attack on a Dominion artillery position, he and his unit came under attack by a large force of Dominion Droids in a CQB assault. Straus and another soldier were able to infiltrate and plant an explosive on the artillery piece and destroy it, but the rest of his unit were all killed by a pair of suicide drones, which killed both sides in the battle. Shortly after he and the other soldier were relocated and put in another unit. After various battles, the Jorro'kil were able to retake the planet and space around it, and Straus was awarded the Medal for Brave Action for his efforts. From then on he went to serve in many other battles, and eventually became a Strike Trooper Commander. Straus is 46.

1. Character Name: Kesh Pol

3. Character Description: Kesh Pol, like all Nevarzians, is a reptillian humanoid. His body is adorned with both cybernetic implants and normal armor. He has three eyes, each given a view out of the mask that all Nevarzian soldiers wear. Kesh Pol is particularly ruthless, willing to sacrafice the lives of his fellow soldiers and any innocents for his, and his superiors' goals. He is very wary of alien life, due to the abused nature of the Nevarzian history, and would like to eradicate all other life just as much as he would to have a protection-providing alliance. Being reptillian, he prefers warm environments.
4. Character History: Kesh Pol, like all Nevarzian males, was drafted into military service at the age of 16. Only a year after his drafting, Kradus was killed, and the Dominion fell apart. To escape judgement by the races of the Confederacy, the Nevarzian government ordered all colonies to be abandoned, and for the ships to carry the populace into deep space in search of a new home, where they would not be persecuted. Angry that his people had to leave their own homes, because of the Confederacy, when the government started volunteering for Nevarzians to search for new homes, he immediately went to sign up for the program. Given specially designed stealth ships for landing on planets, whether inhabited or not, he and other volunteers searched many worlds for an appropriate environment. Having found only two planets suitable for colonizing, he and the others were very eager to locate more for the empire, and eager to approve the newly discovered planet, Teren Aspru....

1. Character Name: Hissin de Teriz
2. Character/Empire Picture: N/A
3. Character Description: Hissin is a rank and file soldier in the Markovan military. He is a strong believer in the Markovan Code of Honor. He is deeply disturbed, however, that more and more of his people seem to consider the Code outdated and obsolete. He believes that the Code makes Markovans stronger, and fears that throwing it off would result in chaos for the Empire. However, being rank and file, there is little he can do, and he is beginning to fall into depression.
4. Character History: Hissin was born into a small, unimportant family; however, his parents were strong traditionalists, and his father was once a soldier himself, so he greatly stressed the importance of the Markovan Code of Honor. When Hissin was tapped for the army, he was filled with a sense of pride, and swore to himself that he would uphold the Code, no matter what. He never really received much active duty however. He was assigned mostly to ships that went on uneventful missions, and he began to be discouraged, especially with his current captain (see next sheet).
5. Other: Hissin's fighting skills are about average; unlike most Markovans, he lacked skill with swordplay, being better with guns.

2. Character/Empire Pictures: N/A
3. Character Description: Terrin is a proud and rather arrogant person. He commands the Markovan vessel Seeker, and exploratory vessel. He thinks that the Markovan Code of Honor is outdated, and that it holds the Markovan people back. He thinks the Markovan Empire should be more militaristic like it once was.
4. Character History: Terrin was born to a rich family who, unlike most Markovan families, only had a few children. Terrin was not initially tapped for the military; however, thanks to his parents influence, he was eventually able to join. He was eager to join and learn swordplay and see battle, having been told many stories from the 'Glory Days' of the Empire. He excelled in all his training; however, he was angry and disappointed that he never got to see any real combat. Eventually, he came to the conclusion (with some help from a few radicals he new) that the reason was the Code of Honor. When the Jorro'kil were first encountered, he thought they would be a good challenge for the Markovan Empire, adn was irritated when the Empire chose to ally with them instead. Eventually, probably from his own requesting to be given a place with more action, he was granted command of a exploratory vessel Seeker.

1. Character Name: Nazzi se Ginnri
2: Character/Empire Pictures: N/A
3. Character Description: Nazzi is one of the few female Markovans involved in Markovan military matters. She is mainly an ambassador; however, she also has well-honed fighting skills. Her main function is as an intermediary between Markovans and other races. She is a strong believer in the Code of Honor, and the potential greatness of the Markovan Empire.
4. Character History: Nazzi was the last child born to her family. When all of the sons of the family's last clutch died, her father decided to hand his sword down to her instead, and she was tapped for the military. Eager to prove her worth and uphold her family's honor, she worked hard at the academy, and excelled at all her training. Although she turned out to be a skilled fighter, she turned out to be an even better negotiator. Because of this, she was given a joint Captain/Ambassador position within the military.

3. Character Description: General Tissin is a general of the Markovan military.
4. Character History: Tissin was tapped for the military during his first year, and graduated from the academy with modestly high degrees. Since then, he has risen to the rank of General due to his outstanding courage and resourcefulness in batte.

@Whoster is there some way I could get Nazzi and Tissin in on the Purist plot?

Probably their trading relationship and other things, seeing as how even though they are technically Confederacy allies they're not closely involved with the Jorro'kil but want this, if that's Ok with you.

1. Character Name: Ilinya
2. Character/Empire Picture: (optional, but preferred if you did give some image of them)
3. Character Description: Ilinya is a Ryun Commander within the Ryun-Wreae Federation military. At thirty years old, she is at an age where most individuals in her species have a mate, though despite her attractive appearance (By Ryun standards), she has not had one yet. This is due to her rather shy outward personality and tending to be a bit of a loner. However, once you get to know Ilinya, she is a very kind person and open-minded. She is also quite skilled in the military, with much discipline and training. She is known for getting the job done all the time, which a lot of determination to accomplish whatever task is at hand.
4. Character History: Ilinya was born on Retali, a Federation world close to Ieegar. Her father and mother were both artificial intelligence engineers, working to improve Wreae units. Due to this much of her childhood was spent around the Wreae, one of which was a surrogate sibling due to her being an only child, an oddity in the Federation. When she reached 14 she volunteered for the Ryun-Wreae navy. Due to her work in AI, learning from her parents, she was able to rank up relatively easily as she provided a couple custom upgrades for the Wreae units in her section of the army. Upon the arrival of the war against the UFIAI the Federation come forward with an offer for Ilinya to become a consultant for the navy in terms of strategy, though she put down this offer, choosing to instead pursue orbit drop ground operations in the war. Recently she ranked up from Lieutenant Commander to Commander after saving a Federation world from absolute UFIAI invasion.

1.Character Name: Salată
2. Picture: (Looks the same as Suflet)
3. Character Description: Salată is very peaceful. She will resort to violence only when she truly needs to. She is not the brightest bulb, but can be very cunning and clever. She has a silver tongue, and prevented a civil war not too long ago.

4. Character History: Salată was nearly rejected from military training due to her anti-combat nature. More than just hating war, she hates fighting altogether. Knowing she would be stuck with a horrid job, she picked up her combat training, even to the point that she beat up other Nisip outside the academy. When the time came at the arena and she made it to the finals.. she didn't kill her opponent.This shocked the crowd, but nobody could deny her combat skills. She was given the rank of general and has received a ship with rims made of gold.

1. Character Name: Ambassador Krim

3. Character Description: This unusual diplomat can sometimes come off as a bit childish but when something needs to be done (or when he gets it into his head that it needs to be done) he can get very serious about it. He has always hand an adventurous side and has been known for disregarding the rules when he feels something needs fixing. He is the one that started the top secret mission Order to Chaos.
4. Character History: As a kit he grew up on mystery novels and tales about people who stopped even the nastiest of wars through diplomacy regardless of the dangers and villains that try to stop the hero along the way. This is what drove him to become a diplomat. To fix the problems in the universe and prove that war never solves anything. He wanted to help make the universe a better place. And he tryed hard to become one. It all paid off in the end and now he is a very famous ambassador. But when he saw this galaxy pop up he thought he had to help put an end to the chaos but he was told not to interfere in the events that were taking place there. Naturally he couldn't take no for an answer. So he started a top secret campaign and gathered up all the people he needed to make it work and then pulled off a little disappearing act and came here. But now there is no turning back, and if this fails he might lose much more than his job.
5. Other: Krim likes sunsets and favours a long ranged stunner as a weapon. (Parallel)

Nice sheet! You can post at any time, though I would suggest asking maybe Zandoo or Zaroas if your race could fit in with one of their storylines. Best place to discuss is the chatbox down at the bottom of the home page.

I have some plans for Gyelidor's interference. One of them is the introduction of crises. The (if you haven't noticed yet but it's obvious, racist) separatist Jorro'kil are an excellent platform for the first, which is when the Gyelidorans discover the Jorro'kil are artificial lifeforms. From this a fundametalist/theocratic faction splits off from Gyelidor. But that should wait until later probably.
