Ruza's Revolution: Age of a Tyrant Empty Ruza's Revolution: Age of a Tyrant

Post by Luxembourgish Fri Aug 24, 2012 3:13 pm

In the beginning, it was a normal day. The sky was pink and the grass was blue. But there was a man. His name was Xikar, the nomad. He traveled across the continent until he reached a village. The village was welcoming. The village was Rajai. According to legend, Emperor Xikar was the first emperor of the Rajan Empire, and the first of the monarchs. There were six generations of monarchs, the last one being known as Emperor Zigwin. He lived popular, and he died hated. He was the last monarch. Nineteen emperors later, there's Emperor Rhea. My rival, my friend, my enemy. Our love-hate relationship ended badly. After Rhea came myself, and then Emperor Tilus. If you are a human, you are probably wondering who I am. My name is Ruza Ryne'ki. I have grown so infamous that it's an understatement. But there are reasons... Before I hear stuff from you about me being 'evil,' I'd like to say this. Sometimes not everything is as it seems, but only sometimes. I still hate Zigwin and Rajai. I do, however, have an interest about Xikar. He built an empire where I have failed. He was successful, yet I have failed. I'm going to tell you my story, and have you judge me for yourself. Just remember that not everything is under your control.

Ever.

The sky blazed with fire as a cannon released it's cargo. A few seconds later, there was a boom, and very faint yelling. The second to last war of the Disruption has begun. "Fire the cannons!" Yelled a Xikarian. His name was Rhea Achova, the leader of the squad. In fact, he was soon to be crowned Emperor. The current one was dying. The one who had fired the cannon was called Viscan Ryne'ki. More cannons were fired, soon destroying the town of Yutal. The first battle didn't have much action, but it was a battle nonetheless. The Rajan Xikarians started laughing and high-fiving each other. The northern nation, the Yellow Nation, had the most land. But Rajai was beginning to win it back. Many things were happening meanwhile. In the Rajan city of Ulteskaan, Viscan had a wife, and a new child. Colin was her name, and in her arms was a young Xikarian named Ruza. A few days later, Colin contacted Viscan for the first time since he arrived at the border. "Did you name him yet?" He asked when he had heard the news. "Ruza," she replied. Viscan hesitated, but only for a second. Ruza wasn't a really a good name, but he was named after his great grandfather. "That's great!" He said. The chat didn't last much longer. Little did anyone know, that Rhea had moved to Someka, the capital of Rajai. The emperor had died, and the ceremony was already held. The thing was that Ruza was born the same day the emperor died. Nobody knew that yet, though. All they cared about was him.

The future scourge.

Ruza's Revolution: Age of a Tyrant Empty Re: Ruza's Revolution: Age of a Tyrant

It has been five years. Viscan had died in battle and never met his son in person. Emperor Rhea hasn't chosen a successor yet, and the ambassador, Kalinn, was urging him to do so. Rhea himself had two sons: Toma and Jesto. Since Viscan's death, Colin and Ruza had moved to Someka, where food was plentiful and jobs were high-paying. Ruza was the equivelent of a fourth-grader by now. Life was fairly normal. He and Toma had met each other, and were friends. But the entire thing truely began with a dare. "Ruza. Follow me." That was all that Toma said. Ruza didn't like riddles. But Toma was excited, and it would probably be fun. It was midnight, And Colin was asleep. They stalked through the night, until Toma reached the palace. "Woah... The palace!" Toma's face became grim. "Wanna go into the graveyard?" Ruza looked at his friend, confused. "You mean the south graveyard?" "No, the palace graveyard!" Ruza was still confused. "...The Palace has a graveyard?" Toma didn't respond. He ran away from the door and towards the walls. "...Wait up!" The palace was huge, and it took for what seemed like hours until they reached a locked gate. Without a word, Toma climbed over the wall. And it was a high wall. Ruza looked in astonishment at the space before he began to climb himself. IT was surprisingly easy. Toma was proud-looking when they reached the other side. "What's so special about this graveyard?" Ruza ffound himself asking. "Ruza, this is the graveyard where all the emperors are buried!" That got his attention. He immediately ran towards a tombstone and read it aloud: "Emperor Kymus; 843-890" Tome peeked over his shoulder. "That's one of the oldest emperors! He's not a monarch, but he's the third, uh, non-monarch emperor." There were more tombstones, of course.

Emperor Yunsi

1084-1116

Emperor Tektic

724-730

Emperor Iorian

1599-1643

Emperor Zigwin

688-724

Ruza stared in awe. "Isn't Zigwin a monarch?" Toma nodded. "The only monarch buried here." Ruza looked up from the grave marker. "What about the others?" "Their buried in the tribelands, which are lost. Zigwin kept a record of them, but that's lost too. Zigwin's here because he founded Someka." Ruza nodded. "Oh." Toma didn't reply. They heard footsteps. We're gonna get caught! Ruza thought frantically. Before he or Toma could do anything, a voice rand across the clearing. "Toma? What are you doing here? And who's this?" Ruza looked up to see Emperor Rhea.

The Xikarian seemed huge to Ruza. He imagined that he was in trouble. But much to his surprise, the Emperor of Rajai didn't look angry- or even disappointed. In fact, he looked... amused. "Toma, is this your friend?" He asked sternly, yet still holding his slight smile. "Y-Yes, this is." Toma clearly didn't catch Rhea's hint of amusement. "...My name is Ruza." Rhea nodded slowly. "What are you doing in the Royal Yard? Toma, did you lead him here?" Rhea's son nodded. "Well, that explains all the racket I heard." He said, followed by a small chuckle. "Perhaps you should eat up and get going, or you're going to be missed." He said to Ruza. "Would you and Toma like to come inside?" Toma didn't show a hint of excitement; just relief that his father wasn't angry. Ruza, however, Reacted quite quickly. "S-Sure!" Rhea herded the two into the palace, which surprisingly wasn't far. The palace was well lit, with the occasional servant walking along. To Ruza, everything here was grand. There were several screens, mostly hidden from view. It looked as if a visitor could walk in, but there were no doors; the people in the palace rarely had to leave the building. Rhea stopped suddenly when he was confronted by an angry-looking Xikarian. "Rhea, why's Toma up? Why are there children here?" Rhea quickly calmed him down. "Kalinn, I don't think they could cause any harm just by being here. Their children, after all. This other celik here is named Ruza, A friend of Toma's. Why are you so worked up?" "You should know." Ruza had no idea what they meant. There were no problems within Rajai as far as he was concerned. But Kalinn didn't go on explaining. He was aware of Ruza's presence.

(That's all for now, Folks!)
