Making a new race. It will be involved in the new RP and, later, in the Disruption.

*Spore creation unavailable, as I do not have a Spore CD key anymore.*

Empire Name: The Intragalactic Krathunian Covenant of Sethega

Creator: Zaroas

Species Name: The Krathun (Plural Krathuni)

Homeworld: The homeworld of the Krathun, Sethega, is currently destroyed by the Dominion. However, before this, it was an arctic world.
Size: The Krathun Covenant currently control a large portion of stars a considerable distance away from (former) Dominion space. These planets consist largely of shield worlds, artificial planets created by the Covenant. These shield worlds still orbit around a sun and are not very mobile. However, they can activate a defense mode in which the outside of the planet, a thick shell created of extremely resilient metals, closes completely and activates defense drones and turrets. Krathun space is currently uncharted by other races including the Dominion, which allowed them to operate in secrecy and build up many defenses. If Dominion ships are found inside this area, they are eliminated as soon as they are encountered. Since the (coming) collapse of the Dominion, the Krathun have been quickly expanding in size to fill in the gap left by their former enemies.

Biology: I will be going into depth with this due to the fact that I cannot make a Spore creature. A Krathun specimen will stand at around 7 to 9 feet tall and will weigh about 200 to 250 pounds. The form of this creature is bipedal, with double jointed legs similar to the hind legs of four-legged animals and arms that reach down to about the mid-thigh. They are covered with a bony, metallic material that act as plates, although they are not exoskeletal. This outer shell is present in the species to protect from radiation due to frequent sun-storms by their homeworlds star and the planet's weak protection against these. In terms of strength, the Krathun are extremely strong and quick, able to outmaneuver and overpower many foes, as they were the apex predator in their prehistoric days. The hands and feet of the species are clawed - Each hand having 4 fingers and the feet having six toes. The head of the Krathun is rather unique - It is covered with smaller metallic plates than the rest of the body. It also has a bony crest in the shape of half a narrow triangle that is pointed diagonally outward. The crest can range in size depending on the gender and size. In addition, the crest can contract depending on the temperature, as it was used to absorb sunlight in order to increase body temperature in their cold climate. The rest of the head is reptilian in appearance, the plates acting as pseduo-scales. Krathun have forward facing eyes with dark pupils, the rest of which can range in color from green to red. Nostrils on the front of the face act as a nose, and holes on the side of the face act as ears. The mouths of Krathun are quadruple hinged, with two mandiple-like jaws on the side and a lower and upper jaw.

The interior of these creatures are similar to that of humans. However, the bones of Krathun are much stronger than ours, and the muscle tissue is much denser. Organs all function the same way and are generally similar, although Krathun have two hearts instead of one to compensate for their larger statute. This also means that they are harder to kill via shooting them in the chest. In addition, they have much sharper reflexes as predators. However, the immune system of the Krathun are not as strong due to their planet having a very frigid climate. This is not a problem for them, as they can alter the conditions of their shield worlds and terraform other worlds. However, in an environment that has many diseases, Krathun are required to wear armored suits that prevent any viruses from getting in.

Religion: The Krathun have an interesting religion that was created early on in their days. They worship gods of stone, minerals, and crystals, largely due to the fact that they are covered in these metallic, armor-like plates, as are other creatures that existed on their homeworld. Thus, they believed that all life on Segetha came from their gods. Their religion involves the prayer to these gods and using their creations to their benefit, which led to very fast advancements in technology. The Krathun were able to unite their species under these gods by creating the Krathunian Covenant, a very strong alliance of nations that then existed on Segetha. Due to the destruction of their homeworld, the Krathun thought their gods to be dead - However, they praydc to the spirits of their deities and swore vengeance upon the Dominion, which was a helpful factor in its destruction. They also now believe that, by creating new technologies, they can become closer to apotheosis and being able to become what the deities were - Masters of stone, minerals, crystals, and overall technology.

History: Note that, in years, BRH means Before Recorded History, and RH means Recorded History.
1,000,000 BRH – 2,500 BRH: The Krathun race evolves and exists primarily as hunter gatherers. In this state they established small villages as well as grand stone cities later on, created to hunt in an organized manner as well as grow crops, and to govern the Krathun. They expand to the other continents of Sethega, constantly striving to explore the world and discover new things. This era saw the first uses of bronze, and later, iron, as a replacement for stone – Although the Kratun were the apex predator, they still had the need to create tools in order to survive more effectively. Based off of architectural finds, the Krathun of this time worshipped divine beings of nature.
2,500 BRH – 100 RH: Complex cities united to become the first known civilizations. These nations warred often, and war was seen as honorable. The weapons used in these included swords, spears, bows, and more. The first known surviving written records were discovered during this period, the story of a battle between the two nations of Algeras and Yventun. These battles helped to establish the philosophy of “The greatest offense is a good defense.” Although armies were skilled at both, they were exceptional at defending their territories – Invading armies rarely ever succeeded, and thus the boundaries of nations would rarely change unless the invaders had superior technology. This era also saw the invention of the current religion system, created by one of the more dominant nations. In terms of technology, rather than new inventions it saw refinement of current inventions and ideas.
100 RH – 1,000 RH: An era of prosperity in terms of both technology and the people themselves. New nations saw the rise of new political systems, such as democracies. In addition, citizens gained more rights and freedoms. Technology expanded greatly, and the later times in this era saw use of guns. Although many nations saw peace, others saw constant and horrendous war. Industry also saw huge blooms.
1,000 RH – 2,000 RH: This time saw a huge rise in research, science, and technology development. It saw the invention of physical holograms and directed energy burst guns later on. The Covenant, a unity of all the warring nations under one flag and one religion, colonized their star system. This also saw the invention of a faster than light drive, and the species quickly expanded to other systems.
2,000 RH – 3,000 RH: The Covenant faced many problems during this age – Some colonies rebelled, and the Covenant was forced into civil war, a conflict in which it came on top. Technologies were greatly improved and the military was strengthened. This also saw the first communications with alien life, including the Dominion, who proved their hostility immediately.
3,000 RH – Present: A long and brutal war with the Dominion saw many losses, including the loss of Sethega after losing it to their enemies – However, the planet was not destroyed. Frustrated, the Covenant faked their collapse, only to retreat to a dark corner of the galaxy where they could regain strength in peace. They did, however, keep the “of Sethega,” in their title to signify that they were set on regaining their homeworld This saw the development of the first shield worlds, and soon the Covenant encompassed many tightly-knit systems, all very defensible in case the Dominion would find them again. They would secretly trade with other empires in order to keep their interstellar economy going. Due to the collapse of the Dominion very recently, the empire is starting to return to its former glory, and it has recolonized Sethega.

Culture: Although the Covenant itself is secretive, its people are not. The Krathun are a very social race, especially with each other. In their spare time, they play sports such as Holo-Ball and virtual-reality hunting. Civilians will wear cloth that is tight around the upper and lower chest and flows down in a cape to the knees. They also have hoods on these outfits. However, military personnel will wear armor – Although all Covenant citizens are required to join military service at around the age of 20 (Krathuni live up to the age of around 150), this can be voluntary. Only active combat personnel and veterans are allowed to either wear their power armor or Projected Hologram Armor in public. Most citizens take technology oriented jobs, such as researchers or inventors. However, many will still become religious leaders and politicians.

Military: The Krathunian military is highly advanced and large. As said before, defense is very popular in the military, and after losses to the Dominion, the present-day Covenant realized that they did not have enough defense. This has changed in recent years – Although there is still a strong offensive military force, the defensive one is extremely adept. Rather than invading planets all at once, the Covenant prefers to stay on the defensive and tactically attack planets. They never let their guard down after what happened to Sethega, and each world is carefully protected. In terms of weaponry and overall technology, the Covenant is unique in its hologram technologies and energy technologies. They use accelerated ion particle weapons to kill enemies, more commonly referred to as directed energy weapons. In addition, their armor commonly projects a hologram known as Projected Hologram Armor that acts as a solid surface that further protects the Krathun from enemy fire. On the ground, troops stay in squads of 4-6, and can overwhelm a large number of enemies with their technology and physical might. All types of vehicles are very powerful, especially those in the void.

Government: The Covenant is partially a democracy and partially a theocracy. There is a High Council of around 50 Krathuni at the top of the government – They are all democratically elected politicians, military leaders, and religious leaders. They will debate on issues pertaining to the government, and while the views of all the above may seem very different, they all usually agree on something. Each shield world also has its own council with all these parts to it that reports to the High Council in case of any problems or a law that needs to be passed. Citizens are allowed to become part of the councils – However, they must go through the ranks of either military service, religious service, or become a politician.

Style: Like said, they use a very defensive style, with ships covering each other’s flanks in a formation shaped like a circle, similar to that of the Jorro’kil. They prefer to eliminate enemies from a distance with their formations, rather than be vanguards – However, some ships are designed to do that.

Of course, it's called as that in Jorro'kil, and maybe according to inter-imperial accords as part of an agreement. It's probably called something else in foreign languages, though out of all previous theories it's most likely that's what we'll call this galaxy, as Humans. So, in other words, that may be how we (as Humans from Terra, Milky Way) call the galaxy, but each race should have their own name for the galaxy.

That's a rather interesting idea. I'll think of that - Maybe while addressing other species and Jorro'kil, it could be known as Ravena, but each race could call it something different.

It isn't Jorro'kil, it's just the name DL979 gave it. Of course it's fine if other names are formulated for it, though.

Post by Vara Lord Thu May 23, 2013 8:35 pm

Empire Name: Confederacy of Vathoris

Creator: tonysaur

Species Name: Main species-Vatarri: Secondary species-Humdar

Homeworld: Vathoris

Size: Non-imperial, Vathoris only

Biology: The Vatarri are bipedal, and smooth-skinned, being endothermic, viviparous, and possessing a basic mammalian physiology. They are herbivores. They have a basic humanoid torso, with two-toed feet, and three-fingered hands. They do not have nails or claws. They have two pointed ears, and a head that is horse-like. The most notable feature of this race is the extreme variation in skin color and head ornamentation. The skin can have about any color and pattern, and the head has a diverse array of flagella, horns, or hair-like structures; the exact pattern of these things varies from individual to individual. Average height is six to five feet.
The Humdar, are also bipedal mammals, having a basic mammal physiology. They have three fingers, and three toes on each foot; the toes are clawed, while the fingers possess flat nails. They have a simian face without external ears. They are slightly bow-legged, and average four to five feet in height. They are covered in a smooth integument of short hair that ranges in color from brown to light grey.
Religion: The dominant religion is known as Hadruism. This religion is monotheistic, believing in a single divine being. Charity and generosity are important precepts in Hadruism. Hadruist teachings also say that a prophecy was once made that someone would come to them someday bearing a certain symbol; this person would then lead them to the Truth.

History: The Vatarri’s origins are unknown. For a long time, they have had their wars and various nations have risen and fallen. Over time, as a race they became more and
more technologically advanced; however, there was never any successful unification, owing to differences in culture. After some millennia had passed, the planet consisted of twelve nations. All of these nations were highly advanced, and had made great leaps in space technology. However, since each nation valued its own culture and system of government, it was decided that they would each remain distinct; however, to ensure peace and unity, a council was set up, with a representative (usually the nation’s top leader) acting as a representative for each nation.
Over the years, quite a few aliens came to settle on Vathoris, especially in the nation of Daro; the people of Daro, being easier going, welcomed this, believing this to be culturally enriching. This lead to the Humdar settling on Vathoris. The Humdar are a race of simian origin originating from a world named Ambar. Their history up until the space age was typical of most races. However, after about a thousand years after they had achieved space travel, a cult began to form on their world. Perhaps influenced by the Grox, this cult, calling themselves the Cybex began replacing parts of themselves with robotic technology, turning themselves into cyborgs. The Cybex quickly gained more and more power, and began to attack the other Humdar, assimilating all that they captured. What few Humdar were left quickly fled Ambar, eventually arriving at Vathoris, which became their new home.

A decade or two before the battle in which Kradus was killed, Mott Gatiir, a Humdar and the greatest technical mind on Vathoris, devised three unique and powerful devices; the dark energy convertors. These devices could provide huge amounts of power, with one device being sufficient to power the entire planet of Vathoris. The devices were coveted by the leader of the world Daryssan, who stole one. A short war broke out between the two worlds that ended in a stalemate, and to date, the one device has not been recovered. One of the remaining two now functions as Vathoris' power source, while the location of the third is a secret.

Culture: Each nation has its own distinct culture. The two most well-known are most likely those of Chun and Daro. Daro has a very open and friendly culture. They welcome all who wish to settle in their nation, and proudly boast a range of different races. Religion plays a strong role in their day to day life, being the main reason for their generous nature. The nation of Daro is the most advanced in science and art, and is the most active contributor to the galactic community.
By contrast, the nation of Chun is far less friendly, and the diversity of races is far smaller. The nation of Chun tends to follow a more isolationist philosophy, rarely making any contribution to galactic society. Between these two extremes, the other ten nations have range of different cultures and philosophies.

Military: The world of Vathoris boasts some of the best weapons and war machines to be had in their corner of the galaxy. The typical assault rifle is more than strong enough to punch a hole in most armor, and the Vathorin armor is also quite strong. Their spaceships are similarly strong, with even modest ships possessing impressive weaponry. However, compared to most other space empires, their military is woefully small, and each nation usually handles its own military affairs, unless some great international need arises; this cuts down Vathoris’s military strength even further.
Government: The form of government varies between nations, with Daro and Chun representing the extremes. In Daro, most matters are settled in private councils and small courts, with larger matters having bigger councils. The nation of Daro has a monarchy; however, its function is relegated to military, policing, and diplomatic affairs, and is involved in little else. The nation of Chun is largely a dictatorship, with the government system being socialist in nature. Several other nations have democratic republics, while one other has a high council.

Style: The typical style is fortification. The military will find the most secure location, and then meet their opponents there. All moves are carefully calculated and planned so as to make best use of Vathoris’s relatively limited military.

Welcome to the Universe Discussion! Empty Re: Welcome to the Universe Discussion!

Post by Guest Sun Jul 21, 2013 8:15 pm

Hey, I'd like to enter a race ^_^ It's my first time on the forums here.
I couldn't find a good picture and spore is acting up, so I'll take one later when I fix it I guess.

Empire Name: The Grand Moxian Empire
Creator: TIEM2DIE (Spore account luhjgh)

Sporecast: Progressing

Species Name: Mox

Homeworld: Grox-V

Size: The Mox are short beings that stand about 2 feet tall, though the largest ever recorded was 4 feet tall.

Biology: The 6 eyed beings have a large mouth in scale with their body, sharp claws on both hands and feet, and have spiky shoulderpads with some type of circular spiked object
protruding from their shoulders. They are a little chunky, as the majority of what they eat gets turned into fat. They have very low water levels in their body and need
to have water much more frequently than humans.

Religion: The Mox believe in the Moxic Gods. Nagrul, the god of snow, who is furry and white, and takes the shape of a human. Nami, the fire god, who bears a moxian body
shape, with strange markings on his back, along with a tribal outfit. Mrox is the insect like Moxian god of war. He wears a helmet, shoulder pads, and a chestplate. Finally, Snolop
is the Moxian god of liquids. He is a white Mox who looks as if he is stuck in a jar. They pray to these gods in hopes that they will gain the strength needed to survive through
all of their battles.

History: Long ago, an unknown species created life on Grox-I by dumping what cargo they had into the water of an unknown planet's waters. Soon, the germs carried on board the ship
grew into the life on Grox-I. There were fish, mammals, reptiles, and more. Life flourished. Moxian scientists to this day have been tracing the origin of the race that created them.
They suspected many beings, however it is commonly believed they came from the Grox. That is not confirmed, however. Sentient life began developing very fast. Due to the high
gravity, the creatures were rather.. Short. Low to the ground. The earliest piece of written history of the GME was of when a Moxian decided to put tree bark on his face and smack
stones together, claiming it was what you would call "Music" He ended up lighting his face, fur, and forest on fire. Other Moxians were attempting to conrtrol fire, learn how to use
it to their advantage. Of course, a bunch of them grouped together and started the first civilization, known as Kami. The Kami tribe were vicious conquerers, and ended up murdering all
the other tribes of Mox on the continent. Of course, as they developed, so did their technology. A group of religious Mox known as the Shi'ishto invented boats, and sailed to the west,
where they met the Kami. The two did not fight, but instead, became allies. Eventually they became one. The Kami were so fascinated by the stories the Shi'ishto told about the gods that
they began to pray and believe in them. From that day foreward, the tribe was known as Kami'Kishto.

The Kami'kishto made the first true architectural marvel - The Mrox house of worship. It is from here that they decided more buildings like this would be good. The gods smiled upon them
and so, after hard work, the Kami'kishto created the first city - Malkron. They invented the first land vehicles, which were pulled by Moxian runners. As they grew older, no other cities
popped up. After about 100 years, the technology had developed Immensely. They had a fully functioning hydroelectric society. They sent out explorers to explore the world, only to find
corpses of Mox. That city of 4,000 Moxians, was the only place in the world that had living Mox.

Skip to about 400 years later. Planes had been invented. Explorers always hunted for ancient relics from their lost tribal ancestors. The only real groups of people were the religious people,
the explorers, and the scientists. Explorers were most common.

About 40 years later, one Moxian scientist found a way to get out of their high gravity planet and onto the moon, Orgo Prime. They sent a young man, known to the public as "Captain Mox" to
the moon and back. He worked with scientists until travelling at the speed of light and sound combined was nothing for the ship and himself. He travelled all over the galaxy. He collected
artifacts, explored, went on adventures for alien empires, and of course, started wars.

Captain Mox was about 40 years old when he was regarded as a god amongst Mox. He was the most famous Mox in history. He is also quite famous for starting the war between the Mox and an ancient,
extremely intelligent (The average IQ of a Mox is 117, whereas the alien race they fought had an IQ of 203 - These are averages) alien race. This war was huge. It spread all up the first and
second arms, along with all around the centre of the galaxy. Of course, the average Mox is regardeed as an adult at 18, but can live up to 500 years old. Captain Mox had been fighting this
blood thirsty race until he was 340 years old. At that point, the Mox were being brutally crushed. It's unknown to the day what this alien race is, but it is known that they are evil.

After a long while, the ancient race had destroyed the GME to the point that only the homeworld was left. Captain Mox was called back for the evacuation. He picked up about 100 passengers that day.
He flew away. He hid on a planet in the third arm of the galaxy. He safely landed here and managed to restart civilization again on this planet. It was about 100 years later, when Captain Mox was
about 450 years old, that the ancient race found him again.

Of course, the war started up again. The Mox were doomed to destruction. He told his 90 year old son to take his ship and as many people he can get and leave. Captain Mox took his last stand on Grox-II,
where he was gunned down by a hovercraft.

Following in his father's footsteps, Captain Mox Jr landed on a new planet, Grox-III. The Moxians had barely unpacked when the ancient armada arrived due to the tracking beacon they placed on the ship, when
the lazy, ameture captain wasn't looking. The captain took his son, and about 50 surviving Mox to the planet Grox-IV. It's here that their empire flourished again, in the 5th arm. They had many colonies.
Their population reached about 1 billion again before the ancient empire found them again, this time, killing Captain Mox Jr and his crew. But his son, along with many other Mox, arrived 10 years later on
their current planet, Grox-V. The child, now 23, has a real name. Tarkchen. He is more known as Captain Mox Jr II. The captain believes largely in religion and follows closely in his grandfather's footsteps.

Culture: Moxians love a good laugh. Often you'll see Moxians around the galaxy either being entertained or entertaining others with comedy. When they're not out having a good laugh, they're often asleep. They
believe that 10 earth hours of sleep a day is what's needed. Considering on Grox-V there are only 4 hours of night, they take naps frequently. However, not all of them are lazy. Once a month, every Moxian gathers
for the festival called Inesva, the worship of the gods. They also love science. They take germs from their bodies and dump them into water to see how it will effect the enviroment. This means that there are also
lots of explorers to find prime planets for germ dumping. Moxians LOVE to eat. Due to their digestive system, if they eat anything that is not meat, it could have severe effects, such as paralysis. They love dishes
similar to steak, chicken, or really just any kind of animal. If it has meat on it, they'll eat it! Eating the moment you wake up and the moment you go to sleep is tradition. Moxians eat about 12 square meals
a day. They also have a large craving for spicy foods, and occasionally sour foods. They dress in a rather metallic fashion. They have silver metallic plates covering all but 2 eyes, and covering the top of their
mouthes. They tend to wear lots of metal. Due to their origins, they tend to go to fighting arenas a lot. Battle domes are a must for a moxian civilization. That and churches, to worship the gods.

Moxians all pray to Mrox before they begin a fighting tournament. They pray before they sleep. They pray in the winter. Prayer is an important part of Moxian life. Mox are fun lovers, explorers, scientists, fighters,
and the most obvious - Cowards. They are scared easily. However there have been some brave Mox to have risen up at times. Usually if a Mox gets sick, the cure is to kill them, because Moxians are very easy to infect
with viruses and diseases.

Military: The Grand Moxian Land Patrol (GMLP) controls land related warfare. They have tanks which are rather slow, but have an average destructive level. The most important part is strength - That's why all GMLP
vehicles are able to take full on missiles without exploding. More often than not, the GMLP will take tanks in groups of 30. The tanks can be easily carried on ships in order to bring them to their destination.

The Grand Moxian Sea League (GMSL) patrols the oceans. They are the primary defense for Mox inhabited planets. They have extremely fast ships. The ships themselves are made out of Moxian durgha, a type of
extremely strong metal, so the ships are very tough. Their destructive capabilities are immense. If a group of 10 ships invaded a sea port, the city would be destroyed within an hour. The ships can not be
stored in ships, but are frequently made by colonies for protection. They patrol in groups of 5.

The Grand Moxian Air Force (GMAF) has odd ships that can be attatched to spaceships. They are large, tough, and fast. However, they can not take down buildings nearly as fast as a tank or a ship. Due to this reason
alone, planes must travel in groups of 26.

The Grand Moxian Army (GMA) is a singular fleet of spaceship captains, warriors, and explorers. They all live in high tech fast, strong, and tough ships capable of taking loads of damage. It is a singular fleet
of about 10,000 Moxians. They are able to beam out of their ship and attack things. There used to be over 1 million Moxians in the GMA, but due to the wars, there are barely any risk takers left.
The ships are able to go invisible, but can still be detected due to the radiation coming from the ship - Radiation has no effect on Moxians.

Government: It is the same government Canada has. Eithr a majority or a minority, different parties (Religious, Traditional, Economy, and Other parties) are voted for.

Style: describe your empire's styles. For example attack styles: For the GMLP, they will slowly circle around a target and all fire at once. If that is not possible, they get as close to a circular formation
as possible and fire at will. For the GMSL, they tend to just go in eagle formation in the water and sail to the enemy, firing at rapid speeds.
Gor the GMAF, they tend to swarm around a target and fire rapidly. For the GMA, they will often be able to just handle their own, one on one. If there are more then one, it is either cloud formation or eagle
formation. If on the ground, they swarm.

Welcome to the Universe Discussion! Empty Re: Welcome to the Universe Discussion!

It's a good rough draft, but not quite up to standards. Mostly the history, it has plot holes. For instance, the war spanning two arms seems....kind of exaggerated, and they probably would have encountered other empires, and this captain Mox being found in the third arm by the enemy empire and the war being started up again also conflicts with some established cannon. My empire, the Jorro'kil Free Absolute, controls must of (but not all) the third arm, so unless the events listed happened 300 years before the date RG is in now (10,028) It kind of clashes with the storyline we've set up. But, your sheet's grade is above several other ones we have received..

Alright, thanks Smile So, would you be willing to help me, erm, fit this into the canon already established?

Sure! Though, I might not be able to get to it right now, but I'll get you a list of the main stuff behind the storyline and we can work out how to fit your empire's background into it.

In preparation for the Continuum Corruptor plot...

Empire Name: The Vrentus Collective

Creator: Zaroas

Species Name: Vrentus singular, Vrentusi plural.

Homeworld: Unknown, hypothesized to be from another galaxy or close to the core of Ravena.

Size: The Collective only controls several worlds of its own, but due to the nature of their species can be found on planets not officially within their control.

Biology: Vrentusi are very unique beings. They are hyperintelligent, energy based lifeforms. To the naked eye of most organic species, they are light green and rather amorphous, though they can alter their shape to a degree. Unfortunately, much of the inner workings of these creatures is unknown. The Vrentusi as a whole are controlled by three hivemind-like beings called Primes, much more superior and advanced versions that are neurologically linked to each Vrentus. They can briefly override the consciousness of another and control it on their own accord. Normal Vrentus lack creativity and imagination, though they are extremely intelligent on their own. However, the Primes have more creativity than the normal ones, though innovation in terms of technology is rather difficult. One of the more notable features of the Vrentus is their adeptness at mimicry. Naturally, a Vrentus can replicate neurological/AI process patterns and basic memories of a nearby organic or artificial lifeform. This allows them to essentially gain the mind of that being while maintaining its own. This process is much more effective on artificial intelligences rather than organics. While they are unable to completely replicate the mind of this entity, they are able to do this to a degree that can consistently fool others. However, replicated speech undergoes slight corruption, which can help to reveal the identity. In addition, the hologram projection isn't perfect.

This ability is aided by machines that each Vrentus gain. Each reside within mechanical spheres that have the ability to scan the body and appearance of another being and transform into it. The armoring of the sphere shifts to gain the physical form while several holograph projectors activate to gain the outside appearance itself, such as the look of clothing. This armor is much stronger than most body armors used by species within the galaxy though it does not have a shield generator. However, due to being mechanized, the replicated form has enhanced speed, strength, etc. over the scanned. Once destroyed, the Vrentus escapes to find a new sphere - in this state, they are unable to fight. They can also manually escape from the spheres. Vrentusi can only replicated machines and organics via this process - While they can recreate machine infantry, they cannot create a wall. The spheres can also attach to compensate for size, allowing the Vrentus to scan and recreate larger machines such as ships. When attached, the spheres are able to recreate energy shielding and advanced weaponry, though in their base form they can replicate some projectile and ion weaponry. Spheres are dormant unless activated by a Prime or an being getting within a certain range of one.

Vrentusi self replicate themselves through a process similar to mitosis, though this process can not occur very often. However, they are very hard to actually kill, even when their armoring is destroyed. It is thought that the best way to rid one of Nuntiusi is to keep them in extreme isolation so they go into their dormant state. Although Primes can still activate them, if sealed away properly this will be useless.

Religion: Vrentusi rely heavily on reason and thus do not follow a religion. The closest institution that they have to a religion is the almost overzealous following of the Primes, mostly because they are essentially bonded to the mind of each Vrentus.

History: Much of the history of the Vrentus species is unknown, as it is extremely difficult to attempt diplomacy or even communication with them. It is hypothesized that they were created by an extremely advanced race or, by some accounts, anomalies in space time. The first accounted experience with the Vrentusi was slightly after the creation of the Jorro'kil species by the Krathunians - The latter had discovered one or more of the Primes (They all reside within separate locations though can communicate with each other instantly even over long distances) and taken control of it. The name Vrentus itself originates from the Covenant, meaning "Of Vrentus," the planet where the Prime was supposedly discovered, although the Vrentusi themselves had taken to using the word to refer to themselves when attempting communication with other beings. They used this to end the stalemate in their war against a species known as the R'lek, an insectoid species composed of several autonomous but united nations. The Krathunians used the Vrentusi to deceive their enemies and to provide furhter firepower by both replicating R'lek and Krathunians. However, the Krathunians did not realize that the beings they controlled were sentient, believing them only to have an AI matrix capable of advanced replication. As a result of their abuse the Vrentus Collective turned on the Krathunians after the war against the R'lek, resulting in a bloody conflict that lasted for several years before the Krathunians sealed the orbs deep within high security facilities and isolated planets. Until this point there has been nothing heard about the Vrentusi, and much information on them disappeared from Covenant databanks during the war against the Dominion - It is generally thought that this is the result of the isolation and a dormant state of the Primes, though it is hypothesized that they are slowly building up their infrastructure and population.

Culture: Vrentusi do not exactly have a traditional culture, as they replicate other life forms. However, over time, it was observed that they had started to replicate R'lek culture, often taking on the shape of the R'lek and mimicking their ship designs and architecture. For the sake of the plot I won't reveal much information on this.

Military: Vrentusi do not have a traditional military, as they rely on the mimicry of their enemies. The only type of traditional ships and weaponry they use is transportation ships fitted with particle weaponry as well as machines within the spheres that allow them to duplicate enemy weapons. Their military strength relies on that of their foe.

Government: The collective body of the Vrentusi is controlled by the Primes, who are extremely intelligent, and likely one of the closest things to omniscience in the galaxy, though it is not exactly this. Like stated, the three Primes are attached neurologically to all Vrentusi basically giving them control over their entire population. Vrentusi, though possessing self awareness and intelligence, serve the Primes and only the Primes. They can be thought of as highly educated and specialized slaves. Although they are all neurologically attached to the Primes, they are also capable of telepathic communication. Their industrial system is not as strong as others within the galaxy as they only need to focus on sphere development and infrastructure.

Strategies/Tactics: The Vrentusi are very pragmatic with the strategies. Though they will usually attempt to replicate their foe's strategy, they can suddenly switch gears without notice due to the nature of their communication. In space battles, the spheres are deployed by large transport ships before attaching to form conventional ships.

You will see how this all fits into the story I have in mind.

One of the things I obtained for Christmas was a drawing tablet, so you may see some concepts for Krathunians, Ryun, Wreae, and more soon.

Also, I recommend that everyone participating makes their own thread with only their stuff in it. For example, if I wanted to make a post showcasing my work, I would make a thread along the lines of "Zar's Drawings," or something and regularly update it with new content.

I was thinking of a banner for a page in the Empire section for the Liirlith. But you don't need to make one if you don't want to.
