I was mainly referencing the fact that Whoster kept telling people that the empire entry section was meant for existing users and that RG recruiting is meant to take place on the Sporum and another site that I forgot the name of.

That was before you did all this crap that isn't actually working, Darkel, and said that we had to shut down our Sporum recruitment office.

Whoster, I am sick of this club constantly limiting itself. Face the facts, if we kept with the Sporum, we would have died anyways. And then people would blame YOU for not taking my advice. The Sporum thread will close because I know that asking as it's open nobody will help out with the advertisement. Now that it's shut down, you have to. In order to get new members at least.

With enough advertisement we'll have new members. The only reason the advertisement isn't working is because I am one of the only people taking it seriously. Sure, you made a thread. But I have made like ten threads on ten different sites. If everyone helped out and posted in those threads and described their love of RG and also made threads themselves, we'd be getting somewhere.

Let me give you some facts that I, among other moderators, have witnessed.

Allowing people to join without actually joining, i.e., directly making an account on the private forum and bypassing the Sporum's recruitment office often results in the new joiners simply becoming inactive because either they don't actually work on a race sheet, don't edit one they have made that doesn't live up to standards, or become bored with it and move on without contributing.

I theorize this is because they have too much too soon. Actually walking them through the steps is a much safer and guaranteed process, because they have to work on their sheet in a more confined area, instead of being able to run free through the private forum, and not actually do anything with their race. I've seen similar incidents where people will create a race, and never go in to add anything or edit the archive, and though the moderators approve this, we feel as if we're being too pushy, or maybe insulting, by nudging them to edit their sheets; not to mention pushing them to.

Before you get the wrong idea, this has nothing to do with advertising, I wholly and strongly approve spreading the word about the club on various sites. However, the above paragraphs are a testament to the validity of making some formal procedure which new joiners should have to go through before being allowed access to every part of the club. In our current state, we have something.. similar, but we don't encourage participation in them enough. At all.

Whoster, the entire reason that guests can post in the Rave Entry section was so that they can make their sheet and THEN make their forum account after it was accepted.

Heyyy, I just wanted to throw a shoutout here. I just joined, and I was hoping to start drawing things for people but the forum takes a rather long time to load for me so hunting down projects takes forever haha.

So yea, heyyy guys. Sorry if this was the wrong place to say this stuff, but I figured "general chat" was pretty safe. ;D

Sure, this is general chat, although conversations with a meaning are rare around these parts of the forum. Creation section contains our threads of art and other creations. I suggest that at some point you make a workshop thread there. It should get popular.

Thanks very much for the welcome everyone I don't know a lot about what you guys are doing with the universe/rp, but I saw a post Darkel made on another forum so I decided to hop on over. ^__^
