Well, I finally finished the drawing. My 'Vantablack' Chimerosu variant, as I like to call it, is a species with feathers, skin, and scales so incredibly dark in color, that they appear completely 2-dimensional, the only part of their body that appears to possess any detail is their eyes.

The camouflage of this race has grown so advanced that their bodies absorb 99.967% of all visible, ultraviolet, and infrared light. This means they possess no heat signature, and at nighttime, are almost completely invisible. Because of their terrifying coloration, they are often regarded as living shadows. Their appearances or anatomy can only be determined by their silhouettes, which indicate sharp, sickle-like claws, and a shocking regression, causing their wings to become membranous, though possessing what appears to be a bone structure similar to most regular Chimerosu, in various ways.

Their eyes, the only truly-visible part of their body, aside from their pale, ghostly-white mouths, possess extremely pale-blue irises and surprisingly, colored pupils that match. Their scelras are a deep, ominous red.

This race is, unlike other Chimerosu, not affiliated with the UCN, and is rumored to be part of a small, terrifying cult, which worships an unknown deity...


Also, in case anyone is wondering why I didn't post this to dA, because it looked too plain to have a black silhouette on a white background, I stole a starry background from the internet in general, and thus, cannot make a claim that this is exclusively my work.

When they appear could vary. They usually have some members who wander around the galaxy, gathering data on planets, but they're practically ghosts, for the most part. They tend to use a lot of rigged commercial vessels, so they look like regular traders, and they also generally hide their appearances.

This in mind, they could appear in the near future and ambush people who were poking around, or they could also arrive on some planet trying to act as missionaries.

Yeah, I probably should have mentioned stuff earlier, but I was posting using my phone and trying to escape a rainstorm at the same time.

It's a really good drawing, Random. Are you interested in drawing comics or something of that nature? The style looks really clean, and a lot of personality carries into the design.

Who/What is that, Random? It's very good, by the way.

It's a regular Hithe. I was originally going to draw 673 but he doesn't differ much aside from being wider and having shorter legs.

As for comics, a university friend and I are currently writing arcs and background lore for a webcomic called Black Resonance. Hopefully once I get the hang of my drawing tablet I can get the first few chapters out.
