The Emperor startled, and in a moment put both fists forward in a parallel motion. Ultramarine energy gushed forth, reaching fervently for its target. Utilizing his legs, the Emperor brought himself to a consistent stance, while still attacking Jiiran, with the blue Orb as his power source. This time around, he did not intend to let the armored creature live.

His power armor shimmered as the energy output levels steadily rose towards the critical point.

Fifteen years of age, Xyrus trotted through the woods, quite unaware of any the goings on in the paradoxical valley. Reaching a clearing, he found himself faced with a large tower, which he had seen from afar.

Aliens stood in the doorway.

Xyrus's eyes widened.

Jiiran knew better than to try to let his armor take this. Sheathing his blade like lightning, he bent over backwards in a maneuver that would have done the galaxy's greatest limbo dancer proud. Just in time as the energy roared where his body was a second ago. Rolling away like lightining, he kicked at Whoster's legs knocking him off balance. The blades were out again as Jiiran rushed to the kill.

The Emperor managed to regain his balance precisely when Jiiran intended to finish him off, and with a neural command strengthened his armor's shields to maximum. The warlord's blades did indeed make contact with the armor, and this created an intense shimmer between the two pieces of metal. It became so bright, infact, that it was blinding, but should Jiiran remove the weapon it would cease instantly. Emperor Whoster was and would remain unharmed, no blade could penetrate the field formed by the Blue Orb.

Xej, curiously watching the conversation between Genthir, Ravage and the others, walked into the midst of the group, and queried; "You keep using such a strange colloquialism to refer to this one." He gestured to Genthir with his right shoulder, shrugging slightly. "What is a man?"

He looked round, finding no particular answer. "And something else. Why are you automatically the arbiter of this situation?" He asked Ravage, cocking his head at an angle as he gazed at her.

Meanwhile, the younger Xej was far more distracted by the tall aliens outside the building, watching them nervously, his IAR casually pointed forwards. All of these aliens, and only himself to confer with. The young soldier held himself nothing like his older version, and his stance suggested he was also rather inexperienced.
