General Chat! - We're all dead!

I've been performing my mandatory military service in the FDF for almost five months, with one and a half to go. I spent two thirds of October outside, sleeping in a tent. I'll also be spending the coming two weeks starting from next Monday in a forest somewhere middle of nowhere, so I might not be able to participate much on RP:Ing.

PS: There is nothing hidden in my avatar. At least nothing I have hidden there...

I really need to post.. and do things...

Me, too. The one story about Tahsi Norven needs more work, as this is going to be an important character in the future. I'm so busy. though, or trying to be.

I've been assaulted by more and more homework. I'm serious when I say that I can't make a good post with my train of thought getting interrupted constantly by chemistry, math, and essays. In the end, though, my schooling ultimately trumps posts. It's not that I don't want to post anything, I just have trouble finding time. I've been writing up the Legend of Storma's next post, but that's about it. I still need to write something for the RP's I'm in.

One exam down...three to go.

I might be able to return soon, currently submitting applications.

Still here. I think people are held up because finals are getting really close. They can make or break you.

Last exam tomorrow...I need sleep. Badly.

Why is college evil.

Well, the good news in my case is that this coming week I have no classes for Thanksgiving. I can get some posting done, maybe do some gardening. It's the middle of winter right now, but I'm contemplating getting my hands on a tea plant, so I can grow and prepare my own tea.

I'm finally out of the forest, and just in time before it started to snow. Temperature has also dropped below freezing point, and I caught a flue. I think it's fair to say winter has begun here. And it started like someone flipped a switch. Sun was shining and it was quite nice autumn day, and half an hour later there was already about an inch of snow cowering everything.

Where I live, the weather starts cold in the morning, and then scorching in the evening. You wear a winter coat over shorts, and die in the windchill factor. It's murder on the health of anyone who doesn't know how the climate works here...and by working, I mean it's totally chaotic and unpredictable....

I see. Here the temperature rarely shifts that much between day and night, but the change of seasons tends to be erratic, like last year snow came around the end of January if I recall correctly. It has become a common joke here to utter the phrase "drivers were surprised by winter" as you hear that same phrase in the news every year, when dozens of people who have not changed winter tires drive off the road.

For me, it's snow snow snow all winter, and rain and thunderstorms half the time for the rest of the year.
