Re: The Disruption (OOC)
Was there any origin story for the Grox in this particular universe? If I ever get the chance to do so, I have ideas about the origins of the Vatarri that involve the Grox. But if the Grox already have a backstory, I can redo the idea.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
The Grox still remain one of the most ancient races in the galaxy, as well as the most ruthless and cold-hearted, but they're extinct because the Dominion destroyed them. The least I can say is that they're at least as ancient, if not more so, than Chimerosu, because the two had a relatively friendly relationship. (the kind meant to preserve your race so they don't invade and kill your people)

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
I think the Krathunians were at war against the Grox along with several other empires that have been used in the past/are peripheral and barely mentioned.
However, I was pondering at the possibility of reworking the Grox in RG to further ourselves more from Spore but not too sure about that.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
My idea was that they were the rogue product of the very first space-faring race ever to exist in the galaxy, and that they went rogue. (I'm not sure I can say more than that, too many spoilers).

The Jorro'kil fought them and were badly damaged when they first came into the war.

The Grox aren't alive anymore, thank goodness.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
Okay, I have officially changed all the markers for the forum, so now the topics notifying you of new posts will show again. I couldn't think of a good design, so I decided to do a metal theme. Until I think of something else, it will do, but I will be working on a nicer design in the meantime.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
Alright, then. I was just sick of not knowing when there was a new post, I think everyone shares my opinion, on that. It looks like somehow the image for new post also became the image for the old post. The no new post image was missing entirely. It's really hard to work on such tiny images, by the way, not enough room to comfortably make detail.

It's fine, I like doing aesthetic changes, anyway. I didn't consult Dark about it, but I don't think he'll mind. I'm going to try to keep the same thing from happening again...must have been a glitch.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
It's Garrus Vakarian, a Turian from Mass Effect. Aspects of the Ryun-Wreae and Krathunians are based off of them - For example, the plates that the Krathunians have was inspired by the Turians.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
@ViperaUnion I just noticed a small error in your last post. Mott is actually a Humdar, not a Vatarri.

Changed it, it was a small error, but sometimes I get a little confused on races. There's a lot of 'em.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
Three quick questions for Curius before I continue -
1. I'm assuming Nidum does not have energy shielding around it. Is that assumption correct?
2. What's the proper response to the UFIAI line of binary code?
3. What AI should the Captain respond with?

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
Well, Nidum has an energy shielding, but generally it is not active to for practical reasons.
The binary code is basically the UFIAI AI’s way to communicate. For them it is comfortable fast, faster than anything achieved by voice. So, appropriate answer would be fast and similar to the received one, preferably containing the identity that the Fleet is trying to represent. However, as the subprogram will then contact that AI via the wormhole network, the fleet will eventually be revealed.
One way to postpone that could be to give the name of either Baron Sunday or Kalthu. Also, the physical defenses of Nidum are nothing impressive, but noting that Nidum is Absolute’s and whole UFIAI’s center of communications, Absolute will, in a pinch, conduct a massive cyber-attack against the fleet.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
I already have an idea of what's going to happen next on Vitis, the grand tour of the planet, complete with a deep in-depth conversation with Samir being introduced to the group, along with an attack from the creature in my sig, the Masqueitilan (Pronounced Mask-it-tile-an). If anyone wanted some action, you're going to face a gigantic predator that Vitisans are extremely scared of, and it's open season for whoever wants to kill it, but considering the size of the trees on Vitis, that's already a big hint of how extremely large it is. It will take a lot of teamwork to kill or contain it, and worse, it's got camouflage powers. On the bright side, it's like a big, ornamented snake.

Going to have to post the Continuum Corrupter stuff tomorrow. Sorry, tonysaur, really tired at the moment and revising the post, which is fairly long.

@Zaroas That's fine.
@ViperaUnion You can count on Isbar. He'll be doing some pretty dangerous things; I'm hoping it will reveal something of him.

Hey Zar, maybe have Svar ask Xerin if he follows the Jorro'kil religion related to the Krathunians in your next post with Svar.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
Just a quick question - would it be a Jorro'kil following of the Krathunian religion, The Pact of Stone, or something of Jorro'kil origin and pertaining to their creators?

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
I believe The Pact of Stone, I think you said a large number of Jorro'kil started a following of it after it was revealed that the Krathunians were their creators. But, you can use something of Jorro'kil origin, a belief system created with the last ten years of the timeline after the JL met the Krathunians.
It's called The Following of Personified Light, which a certain amount of Jorro'kil follow and in it they revere the Krathunians as....much more than people. I would assume it might be somewhat frowned upon by the Krathunians themselves, viewed as, well, weird.
