One of the Destroyers leading a fleet to burn any Dominion worlds it finds receives the message, the Commander aboard, very curious as to the nature of its contents.

He stood with arms behind back, contemplating what the message could be. The soft whine of machinery and consoles on the bridge went on in the background.

"Play message." He said.

Kueltha sat with an elbow on the throne and his forehead buried in his palm of said arm. When the Commander came onto the screen, he gave an eye on him. "Confederacy..." he began, he didn't sound very happy. He was greatly stressed and hated this.

"We of the Dominion have decided to surrender entirely to your empire... if you would please let us move our surviving citizens to an alternate part of the galaxy, we will gladly leave and stop the war... This is not a conspiracy, we've given up..." he groaned. The Leprol officials nodded, one of them spoke.

"Now that Kradus is dead the entire operation is pointless, we are going to take the rest of our empire and turn it into a trading alliance. It will probably be more healthy for our people anyways. Though you only know us for our military, we do have innocent citizens that don't deserve such brutal times," said one of the officials.

All things considered, even in spight of the Fleet's slaughtering, the Commander was stunned. He forgot that surrender was even possible until now.

He starred into space for a few moments, then snapped back.

"I......" He stood up straight and regained his firm form.

"It is not my decision to make, any request for...diplomacy must be conveyed to our Emperor." He motioned to a crewman, who in-turn shut off the COM receiver.

The Commander stopped, pondering again.

"if this isn't a trick....we win. Not the ultimate victory.....they must all die....but my actions would be called in to question if it is known this message was received." He thought to himself.

A closet extremist, the commander thoroughly enjoyed killing any xenomorphs he was ordered to. He'd have to report it FleetCOM, which would go up through the governmental councils and reach Emperor Xonoc, and their was more than a good chance they wouldn't have the pleasure of killing off every dominion-associated vermin...

Orders are orders, and the Commander dissapointedly began the task of conveying the message to FleetCOMs higher authorities.

Absolute ran a check through the Nuntius’ systems to find out which were still online. Rail-gun was obviously out of commission, and all shield generators, excluding ones at the back, had been overloaded. The engines, both conventional and warp-drive were intact thanks to their location at the back of the ship. Absolute weighted its options, deciding to pull the Nuntius back. It was a large ship, and contained technological relics from UFIAI’s home world, that UFIAI weren’t still quite able to replicate right.
Ruyn-Wrea ships closed in to finish Nuntius off, but the wreckage around the Nuntius interfered with their targeting, and also physically shielded Nuntius. This gave Absolute just enough time to turn the Nuntius around, towards the worm-hole gate. Absolute made hasty calculations, and launched Nuntius’ warp engine. For a few seconds Nuntius and the space around it started to stretch like a rubber band, and then with a bright flash Nuntius made a micro jump towards the worm hole. Nuntius arrived some two-hundred-thousand miles away from the Worm Hole, but Absolute directed all available energy to its engines, sending Nuntius to great speed towards the worm hole.

Wreae machines were designed to have incredible reaction times and reflexes - This is what made them so dangerous in the rebellion against the Ryun. As a result, the Wreae Commander was able to calculate the arc of King Baphometh's blade and use its mechanical strength and thrusters to leap over it as it curved down towards the Wreae. As it did this, it signaled one of the Interceptors to come around and shoot King Baphometh in the back. Within a second the fighter was there, barraging the giant mech with plasma and pulse weaponry. The UFIAI mech turned around distracted by the interceptor, and the Wreae found the perfect chance. It grabbed an electrically charged monomolecular blade off the ground from a fallen Ryun. It then used this to cut cleanly into King Baphometh's vulnerable back.

The Wreae signaled to the Jorro'kil. "Send your Cruiser down now!"

The Major heard, and leaped from his position holding off several drones over to a COM pack, and, setting the correct code and frequency, sent out an all-clear. He looked hopefully to the sky for a few moments. Nothing happened.

But then, breaking through the vaguely crimson clouds above, the low roar of engines descended upon the surface. Once ready, it positioned its Grav-Beam directly infront of the temple. A circular, transparent blue "shield."

Upon seeing the relief, Jorro'kil quickly, but somehow orderly, ascended via the grav-beam, wounded first.

On the recently instituted search-and-destroy mission, scout fleets were sent all over the galaxy in search of Dominion worlds to mark them for larger fleets. One such fleet, D-9 0-0-712, stumbled upon not a Dominion planet but a metal planet-shaped shell.

Emperor Scrylis sat in his throne room. The huge chamber was made of dark metals and lined with windows that overlooked the sprawling city around it. In the years since the death of Kradus (an event that sent shock waves across the galaxy, causing the Kardesh to report it to their allies) the Kar'Geualiea imperium had migrated. With the help of their Kardesh allies, they moved into a new galaxy and activated their super weapon, the galaxy drainer. Their rule was determined by the mass genocide of half a galaxy. With the machine now on a ten thousand year recharge cycle, and the screams of untold trillions still fresh in the vacuum (metaphorically), the KGI quickly took control. Their fleets bombarded the larger remaining races and the Kardesh assimilated whole galactic arms. Now emperor Scrylis ruled with an iron fist. The few other races that survived the massacre where left to their third of the galaxy, while the KGI inhabited the rest. Billions upon billions where enslaved. Thousands of worlds where burned. Opulence ran rampant in the KGI cities. The thirteen underseer's each had their sphere of influence. They where mostly free. For a Kar'Geualiea, life had never been better.

Scrylis indicated the doors, and two assassin drones heaved them open. An underseer came in. Naralox. A military underseer.
"My lord Scrylis." He bowed before his overlord. "I request permission to send a scout fleet into our old home." Scrylis looked at his fellow kar, dressed in military armour with the usual tattered cape.
"Why?"
"Our Kardesh allies have requested our presence. The master form tells me that the Jorro'kil have risen to power. I simply wish to substantiate this." Scrylis thought about this. Their old enemies. They'd heard nothing about them since the death of their emperor. "I hear, the forlarm have sided with them." Naralox added. Scrylis' eye widened.
"The forlarm!" He demanded
"Yes my lord." Naralox stood from his bow. So, their ancient enemies lived. Scrylis had assumed the reports had been false. But he had to be sure.
"Go. Send a scout fleet. If the forlarm are back, do not engage them. Return home, and we will send our armies to destroy them, once and for all!"

((Wait, I wasn't aware we went forward years in time. We just finished the battle for the orbs, and the Jorro'kil wouldn't have been the only race to rise in power...))

The Ryun and Wreae that had arrived on the capital island of the Lumeriana empire all requested that they be brought to the capital building of the ruling body. It would be here that they would be able to request diplomacy. With this, they would be able to add the Lumeriana to the Confederacy and help them to be more technologically advanced, one way being donating many specially made ships and weaponry.

___________________________________________________________

The metal planet-shaped shell that the Jorro'kil fleet stumbled upon was that of Faluntis, an outer shield world of the Krathunian Covenant. Each world was named after a god in their religion, all of which had died in the invasion of Sethega by the Dominion many years ago.

"Sentinel, the automated defenses haven't activated." a member of the planet's shield crew reported in the command center of the planet, headed by Sentinel Theranis.

"Odd. There are only several occasions that it is possible they will not activate." He said with interest in his voice. "Send out the defenses anyways. They seem to be of Jorro'kil origin, but we cannot take any chances."

Three relatively small (but large to the approaching scout fleet) apertures on the surface of the shield of the planet opened up, revealing a harsh blue light. From them came two huge and imposing Covenant Destroyers, and from the third, a smaller peacemaking ship. Other defenses activated as well - Namely, giant railguns and particle weaponry on the surface of the planet started to target the ships but would not fire unless provoked. In addition, a message was sent out to the fleet.

"You are now entering the territory of the Intragalactic Krathunian Covenant of Sethega. Please state your species and/or empire and your business here in our territory."

Wrea commander plunged the blade trough King Baphometh's back, damaging the wormhole stabilizer fatally. King Baphometh turned furiously on its heels, making the Wrea lose its grip from the sword. Baphometh took few steps away from the Wrea, and was about to charge back on to it, when a distortion from the collapsing wormhole caused its body to bend in a wave-like motion. Baphometh stopped in the middle of its attack, and then calmly lowered its arms to its sides, and stood right up, facing the Wrea commander. Then, slowly, it bended its body's middle joint, making a slow bow for the Wrea, while being torn apart by the distortions. After finishing the bow, a part of Baphometh's armour slid away, resealing the other micro nuke. Simultaneously as the nuke detonated, the wormhole collapsed, forming a powerful singularity, that swallowed the nuke's fireball, Baphometh, and lots of stonework from the Temple's roof. However, it was weakening moment by moment, and would probably explode on the end, also releasing the nuke's energy.

"You are now entering the territory of the Intragalactic Krathunian Covenant of Sethega. Please state your species and/or empire and your business here in our territory."

The bridge crew of all five ships of D9 0-0-712 were in a mixture of shock, awe, and confusion. That, and cussing under their breath.

With haste, however, the fleet assembled and delivered a reply to the message.

"This is Scout Fleet 0-0-712, Sector D9, of the Jorro'kil Confederates. Please allow passage."

The planet's command center fell silent as the Scout Fleet's message came through. One of the engineers working there stated, "I've tested the voice based off intercepted messages, I can confirm a Jorro'kil presence."

After a couple minutes, the Sentinel finally came to a conclusion on what to do.
"Scout Fleet 0-0-712, this is Sentinel Theranis Ra'agus of shield world Faluntis. Docking on our planet to confirm that no hostilities are on your ships is necessary for our security. Please do not be alarmed." Suddenly, one of the Destroyers activated a gravity beam to render the ships useless and pull them towards the massive planet. Soon, they were docked in the interior of the massive shield world. Heavy armored soldiers waited at the entrance of each ship to both escort the Jorro'kil into their planet and to search their ships for any possible harmful technology or beings.

The Infantry presence on the ships was called together to form a line of defense for the commander of each ship. The Commanders, seeing that there was now little choice than to comply or to convert to Guerrilla Warfare.

Going ahead of, behind, and to the side of each Commander, the infantry exited the five scout ships, with the Commanders in the middle.

As soon as each Jorro'kil squad exited their five ships, the Covenant soldiers surrounded them. The positions the Jorro'kil had created were soon contested - One soldier stood next to each Jorro'kil, with a commanding officer leading the formation towards the biological scanner that scanned the entire being of an entity, including DNA, for potential viruses or camouflaged enemies. The Sentinel stood in front of these with two more commanding officer - He was large and imposing in his smooth black plated armor. Krathun stood around nine feet tall, with a structure resembling a predator - They had strong arms and double jointed legs, with a small crest from the head. The armor only amplified this to make them seem more imposing.

"Welcome to our planet, Jorro'kil. I am Sentinel Theranis. Please step through the bio-scanner, one by one. This is to ensure security, nothing more." One of the Jorro'kil from the first formation stepped forward into the large scanner, meant to scan entire vehicles at times, and engineers and scientists analyzed and observed his biology.

"Sir?" One of the scientists said, gesturing to the Sentinel. "There's a bit of a problem." The Sentinel walked over to the scientist's holographic display, which showed a maginified strand of DNA, and nodded. "The Jorro'kil DNA appears to be an exact copy of this." With that, he pulled up another strand of DNA. "You know what this is, do you not?"

"Of course I do." The Sentinel stated. Once all the Jorro'kil were through the scanner, with no potential threats detected, the Sentinel looked over all of them. "Are you soldiers aware of the origins of your species?"

Some of the infantry looked at eachother quizzically, gripping their weapons tighter. The Commanders stood silent for a few moments, then one of countered the Sentinel's question with several questions of his own.

"What exactly is this place? Why have you abducted us in the first place? Why would our origins means anything to you? Why should we answer any of your questions when you abruptly plucked us out of space with few reasons?" The Commander was careful to be just-so confident, but not so much as to be arrogant, which could make their situation worse.

The Sentinel chuckled, and then started to respond to the Jorro'kil questions.

"We are the Intragalactic Krathunian Covenant of Sethega. Many years ago, we were a dominant empire in the galaxy, fighting a war against the Grox. That was when the Dominion rose - Kradus targeted our planets, seeing us as a great threat to his security. Our homeworld of Sethega burned, and with it, our gods. We were able to escape the Dominion to an unexplored part of the galaxy, and build up our defenses. The result is this: A shield world. This one is Faluntis, named after the god of molten rock." He looked around at the Jorro'kil before continuing. "However, before the Dominion arose, we experimented with quick forming genetic material - A device containing genetic material of our choosing would gather resources such as carbon and form a living, breathing creature. We planted it on a barren planet that we had just terraformed. The result, as we have learned today," The Sentinel grinned and closed his eyes. "Is the Jorro'kil race."

With that out of the way, he continued. "We have 'abducted,' you, so to speak, to ensure our security. We have no been in contact with another species for many years, and your arrival is the first in that time period. We do not know what to expect, as you could have been hostile and willing to destroy our planet. You must answer our questions due to the fact that you are on our planet." The Sentinel turned his back to the Jorro'kil audience, paused for a moment, and turned back around. "Now that we have answered your questions, I have a proposition. This is an alliance. Your enemy is the Dominion, as is ours. We have studied your culture - it is similar to ours in many ways. We share many common interests, such as protection. We can offer you many advanced technologies and weaponry. And, in addition to that..."

"...Your entire species owns its existence to us."

They all looked at eachother, then the Krathun. One of the other Commanders stepped forth with an answer to what at first seemed to the Jorro'kil an insane statement.

"Forgive me, but of this I am extremely skeptical...This sounds insane...But you seem convinced of the evidence just given you...On the topic of an alliance......you must become trusted with our empire, the rest of us know nothing of your existence...And how are we to know your are not simply in league with them other than your word?"

The Jorro'kil stared defiantly at the Sentinel.

The Sentinel stared back, unfazed. "You believe us to be in league with your enemies?" He shook is head before continuing. "Come, look here." Using his scouter, the Sentinel created a holographic image between himself and the Jorro'kil, after stepping back. It showed real time footage of an arctic planet in the midst of war. "This is our home planet of Sethega. The Dominion still occupies it. However, we are evicting them." It was easy to see this - Covenant ships shredded through and destroyed the Dominion forces, and would soon overcome them.

"You skepticism is acknowledged - If I were in your shoes, I would be as well. However, the evidence is there." The hologram changed to show a large machine made out of dark metal. "This is the Genesis Device. The scientists who planted it made a recording on the activation." As the Jorro'kil watched, the device turned on, its lights flickering to life. It seemed to pull matter towards a spike at the top, and a minute later, several creatures that were distinctly Jorro'kil could be seen surrounding it. With that, the recording ended.

"As you see," Sentinel Theranis continued, "There is much evidence to support this claim. My offer is still open, but remember that my proposition is nothing more than that. Your scout fleet does not prove a threat to the planet, as we have concluded, and thus you may exit. If you choose to leave, may the spirits of the gods bless you and grant you safe travels."

The Commander looked at the Sentinel for a moment, expressionless.

"We must leave. Continue our search. But....give us this data which you believe provides evidence we are the same creature your experiments produced, and a way of making contact with your empire. Perhaps that could be useful." The Commander turned and gestured to the rest of the Jorro'kil to make ready to board their ships and leave.

One of the infantry pushed a Krathun aside, matching the Covenant guard's strength despite being a foot shorter. The rest of them divided into groups and returned to each of the five cruisers, Vanquisher, Divided They Fall, Mighty Will, Peace in Security, and Grave Ascension.

The Disruption (IC) - Page 16 Empty Re: The Disruption (IC)

Post by Zaroas Sun May 05, 2013 9:29 pm

((A 10 year timeskip has been initiated by Whoster and I. Our story is now 10 years into the future - You may start all planned plotlines))

Ten years had passed since the grand battle over the crystalline battle. The Confederacy, victorious over the collapsed Dominion, the Kar'geualiea Imperium, and the traitor United Fleets of Artificial Intelligences. The orbs had been sealed deep within Confederacy territory, away from all who would want them. But who couldn't resist their power?

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Ryun-Wreae Federation of the United Ieegan Systems were rapidly growing. Their territory was quickly expanding, with new technologies and military force at their hands. The Federation benefited from growing trade from the other Confederacy races, and their economy soon became key to the group of empires. In addition, they helped to further uplift the Lumeriana Empire, helping them to expand massively and giving them marvelous new technologies. Wreae production had also grown exponentially, and soon there were more Wreae than Ryun. However, nobody feared an uprising, as the two had long since united under one flag.

Chief General Barborin had been promoted to Grand Admiral of the Ryun-Wreae Military for his actions during the battle and the diplomacy between the Jorro'kil and the RWF. The Wreae Commander, Unit 8164392, who had destroyed the King Baphometh to allow the Confederacy to retrieve the orbs had also been promoted to Captain. Grand Councilor Zaroas was aging, though he still had plenty of energy left in his body. He was highly involved in Confederacy politics and was a source or morale and inspiration for the military as the Ryun who had united his race and the Wreae.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Intragalactic Krathunian Covenant of Sethega had also become very influential. After the events between the Jorro'kil scout fleet and the shield world, it had been confirmed that the Jorro'kil were a Krathunian creation. Many Jorro'kil immediately converted to the Covenant religion, The Pact of Stone. Nonetheless the two empires became very close diplomatically, and the Covenant made its wondrous technologies, such as planet shielding, to the Confederacy as a whole. In addition, the conquest on their contested homeworld of Sethega and previously colonized worlds had gone very well. The Dominion was quickly driven out, and the Covenant won what they had been yearning for - home. Many planets were equipped with shield world technology, although they wanted to preserve Sethega of this. However, they fortified defenses to the extreme around their world. A permanent wormhole sat deep within the new worlds and old worlds, allowing for quick access to either part of the Krathunian empire.

Admiral Lirriva din Asmacar of the fifty-fourth division of the Markovan army stood on the bridge of the light cruiser Herald, his hands leaning on the rail of the raised secondary deck. With a shrug, he adjusted the twin swords sheathed on his back, the sheath's themselves hitched to his shoulder horns. Most soldiers carried only one blade with them, but not Admiral Lirr, as he was known. Both of these swords were important to him, and he wasn't going to let go of either. One he had earned in his training, the other had been passed to him by his father, since he had been the youngest son, and the last to child to hatch in his clutch. It hadn't taken him long to master using both blades at the same time; Admiral Lirr was widely known throughout the Markovan Empire as the finest swordsman alive, if not the finest ever.

Anyone who did not know Lirr would be tempted to think that he didn't take life seriously from; he certainly had a talent for brevity. However, Lirr was a shrewd thinker, and a highly capable commander. And he was deeply committed to his duty.

The captain of the ship approached him and saluted. "We should be reaching Jorro'kil territory within the hour, Sir."

"Excellent work, Mr. Dras," said Lirr in his usual amicable tone. "Drop us out of slipspace just prior to reaching the border. Once we're at the border, stop the ship, and let a good old hallooh so that they know we're there."

The captain saluted and returned to his post.

Admiral Lirr couldn't help but feel a thrill of excitement as the ship progressed. From what he had heard, these Jorro'kil seemed to have a lot in common with their own species. He was looking forward to speaking to them.

Yes, he thought to himself, I'm certainly glad we will making an alliance with them. They're just the sort of fellows to have on one's side. Creatures after our own hearts.

Ten years from the death of the Kradus and Emperor Whoster, fall of the Dominion and the beginning of the new era, and a new war…

Old and scarred Jorro’kil Super Destroyer bearing the name Critical Mass engaged its engines to depart from its orbit around a gigantic gas giant. As the destroyer glided out of the shadow of the massive planet, the light from a medium-sized star revealed the true scale of the ship’s wounds, but also all the repairs and additions it had received. it joined a small fleet of smaller ships, some of them being also Jorro’kil origin, but there were also many ships patched up from other ships, and also some brand new black and white ships. A steady stream of new ships from the thin ring around the gas giant was adding to the growing fleet. This system was UFIAI’s main frontline shipyard, serving as the gathering point for most of the arriving and returning fleets.

During last ten years UFIAI had been locked in constant war with the Confederation. During the first weeks of the war UFIAI managed to surprise the Jorro’kil and Ruyn-Wrea forces with its ruthless and sudden attacks, and large forces, gaining several victories, causing drastic civilian losses and some irreparable damage to several ecosystems. However, after the Confederation managed to gather its ranks UFIAI was quickly pushed back, and even further. UFIAI had to retreat from the systems it had managed to capture in the first attack, and even some of the outer systems of UFIAI were lost and destroyed by Confederacy’s fleets. However UFIAI’s flexible economy had been already converted almost fully to producing different kinds of warfare products.

As the main fighting began to focus around dozen frontline systems, UFIAI attempted to circle around in an attempt to get foothold from the Confederacy’s flank. UFIAI’s advance was ultimately halted by the Krathunian shield worlds. UFIAI lost uncountable amounts of ships while trying to penetrate their defense. Even so, this encounter was beneficial to the UFIAI, as the AIs began widely to use the shielding techniques on their own settlements and core worlds.

The past ten years had been a great time of settlements for UFIAI, as the AIs started to spread to any barren planet or moon to feed the battlefields with seemingly endless amount of machines. Any planet or planetoid with enough minerals and available energy were plausible to be converted to a huge factory-mine, and every star with enough luminance was possible host of a huge energy farm or even a Dyson’s sphere. It was also time of new technologies, as the UFIAI familiarized with captured and salvaged Confederacy hardware and software and also creating new tactics and weapons to overcome the huge power of the vast forces standing in between the UFIAI and the Orbs.

Not all of the UFIAI’s attention had been turned against the Confederacy and Orbs though. They had been refining their wormhole casting, and monitoring nearby galaxies. And some of their hyper-long-range probes had just returned from their long journey with some interesting info..

The Disruption (IC) - Page 16 Empty Re: The Disruption (IC)

The Vil-Nolwikkan Greater Dominion and Kradus' Dominion have been at a stalemate for the entire Ruthless War. Neither side would budge. The Dominion saw no need to invade these aliens, and the Nolwikkans have been put off by all of the Dominion's allies. Even when the Dominion has fallen, they didn't budge. Archlord Reskullus decided that the spoils would go to the winners. Once again, they were outmatched and outnumbered by the large empires, and Reskullus figured that the Dominion has had the same problem.

So, for forty years, the usually violent, war-prone Vil-Nolwikkans were completely neutral. They needed allies; someone to fight alongside them for a similar cause. However, there weren't very many races that saw benefit in allying with an empire that would probably stab them in the back them later. The Greater Dominion simply minded it's own business, but that didn't mean that they were helpless to attack.

Many Nolwikkans were unnerved by the spread of the UFIAI, but they showed no interest in the Greater Dominion. However, Reskullus felt that a close eye should be kept on them. His forces were at his disposal, but only in the case of an emergency. So far, however, the outpost and border planets were doing their job: giving a strict warning to any alien ships, and intercepting any tresspassers.

The economy was doing great, and the Empire had all the resources that it needed. However, something beckoned to Reskullus. The worlds at the core of the galaxy undoubtably had useful and valuable minerals, and they needed to be mined before they were destroyed in the next few years. The materials would improve the empire's military and wealth immensely.

A year after the events which changed started a chain reaction that would have massive consequences upon the galaxy, both good and bad, Emperor Whoster's body was returned to Irooscin, along with Kradus's, which was publicly burned in the Capital District, infront of the Emperor's palace.

The whole of the Jorro'kil Free Absolute went into mourning for several days, but all looked forward to the crowning of their new, albeit somewhat reluctant Emperor, Xonoc Whoster.

The orbs, placed deep in a fortress world guarded by the elite of the Confederacy, their exact location restricted to all but those of the highest rank, and even then only the most trusted of those.

Ten years into the future, the Dominion exist no longer, and the remaining races spread across the galaxy went into hiding, waiting for a new leader to command them. The war with UFIAI took many turns, Confederacy colonies burned, but the fleets of the UFIAI crumbled, only to be replaced by more. Many Jorro'kil Historians speculate that this war was even more intense than the one with the Dominion, obvious because the UFIAI want, need something the Confederacy has, though none are sure what it is except the aforementioned most trusted and highest ranked.

Upon the return of the ships of Scout Fleet 0-0-712, the knowledge given to Emperor Xonoc spread to the councils of the combined Neo-Partisan, both troubled and astounded them. Xonoc, wishing to reach out to the Krathunians and create negotiations, had this accomplished, but many of the councilkils advised against going public with the knowledge of their heritage, believing it likely that with the extremely mixed reception the news would get, the peoples would think their leaders were demented. So it was kept secret for several years, until a visit from a Krathunian official to Irooscin caused the secrecy of their heritage to be dissipated, and documentations were released by the councils of the government with this knowledge. Many Jorro'kil soon formed a following of the Krathunian Religion, but many extremists became disgusted with what they called a "Disgrace upon our great culture," Causing the rising threat of an insurrection against the Jorro'kil's allies.
