|| Apocalypse IC ||

Mother Lazor walked out from the massive hive that had formed, the master pods had given birth to her and now she was a built killing machine. Suddenly the hive father plunged from a flap of a massive pod wall. Green slime from the inner pod all over him...

She hissed at him some and then walked out away from the hives. When she reached about twenty feet away from the nearest pod, she got on her knees and stuck her hands in the air. She screeched calling the Horders, now they would invade and all would be doomed...

Officer 0-311, Xhuune, had just brushed the dust and dirt off of him, as he got up from his fall point. A Karthla Pod had landed on a bridge very near to him, while he was trying to get civilians and traffic off the road to get away, and the effect blew him straight down the side of the bridge, into a grass pasture. His Power Armor protected him, but it was dented and dirtied in several places.

"Du'rakk it.." He muttered to himself. Suddenly, he heard a rustle, coming from some nearby bushes close to a large, rectangular rock. 0-311 instinctively reached for the BA Rifle magnetically strapped to his back. Only when he reached for it, it wasn't there. He knew it wasn't there, of course he did. In the corner of his eye, when he started to pick himself up after crash "landing" he saw his rifle, lying over a few feet away from him. Xhuune didn't try to reach for it, if there was an enemy in those bushes, they could strike him while he had his back turned, or while he bent over to pick it up.


So, instead, he drew his Plasma Pistol sidearm, held it with both hands infront of him, and aimed in the general direction of the bushes.

Out from the side of them, came two Jorro'kil Soldiers, and they had a civilian and her child with them.

The officer lowered his pistol, but his expression remained grave. "Where's the rest of your unit, soldiers?" Xhuune said.

"We got seperated from our squad, we were trying to get civilians off the bridge, but then the pods landed, and we were forced to back off with these two." One of the soldiers pointed at the two civilians.

"Well, we better keep moving. If the Karthla saw you, they'll be coming. down here to check for survivors." Said Xhuune, as he walked over and picked up his BA Rifle.

"Sir, my COMM still works, I could try to contact my unit, or a nearby-" Xhuune cut him off.

"Too risky, the Kathla could find someway of hacking into your COMM signal, and intercepting the message, I-" This time Xhuung was cut off, by a Karthla unit, a Vorask, sniping the civilian's child in the head. It's beak exploded with pruple blood, and the mother, who was standing right next to the child, screamed extremely loud, but didn't have time to take cover or mourn. Because next thing anybody knew, she was dead two. Another head shot.

"Fire on that position!" Shouted Xhuune. The three soldiers opened fire in where the shot came from, as the projectile left a short trail. Bursts of five rounds from each rifle brought tumbling down the Vorask from hits position, dead. Xhuune looked over at the dead child and its mother. Puddles of blood surrounded the corpse.

"What a waste." Said Xhuune.

About three miles away a massive mob of Horders was approaching, being led by Father Endar. The mob was massive, so crowded that if you were in the middle, you couldn't see the light of day. Hive Commander Largus bumped a few Horder out of his way to get to the front of the mob to Father Endar.

"Father, I have word from Pod Callers that three pods have been destroyed, seven approached the planet" said Largus.

"Once we reach the city and harvest the surviving citizens in the outlands, take Gorgers to next major meeting point of birdmen. Take lives from there" said Endar. "Evil approaches"

"My lord, we are three miles from birdman city. Would they not have already spotted us?"

Xhuune and the two soldiers with him couldn't really go forward, the Karthla were "marching" overhead on the bridge, and the paht upwards was very narrow and steep. This could be an advantage, but would also more likely be a time-waster.

So, they would go back, to a transport, hidden in the bushes, that was meant to be for the civilians on the bridge. It was fairly large, but could move undetected on the ground. Now that msot if the civilians on the bridge were most likely dead, or, worse, harvested, the three could now use it for themselves, to get to a small Outpost some miles form the transport.

Meanwhile....


The Outpost where Xhuune and the soldiers were headed had its own problems.....


"Kill the horders first, then take out those Gravlars!" Shouted the Infantry Commander, from behind a rock near the entrance of the Outpost. Several Infantryman accompanied him, along eith atleast five Karthla Hunters which ahd been dropped off Via dropship, before the dropship was destroyed. Its wreckage lay nearby, alight with fire.

They also had a tank with them, but the numbers of the enemy were many. The tank fired at a huge group of horders, and blew apart half of it. Blood and guts splashed EVERYWHERE. The Karthla Hunters and Infantry combined fire to bring down another group of Karthla, when two Infantry were caught with their shields after taking heavy fire, and killed by two Horders lunging their poisened blade right into the soldier's abdomens.

The two Karthla Hunters around them repeatedly shot the horder suntil they were dead. Now only a few horders *Gunfire* make that no horders, and several Gavlar remained. The tank fired, but missed them. Suddenly they all leaped high into the air, and landed on the tank. They tore open the top hatch, took out the two pilots practically ripped them apart, discarded the pilots bodies, and, now soaked in blood, began to smash the tanks controls from the inside. This was to be their demise, for the one son the outside tor eopen the hatch for the fuel tank, and, unknowning it would be explosive for them to attack it, repeatedly punched the still running tank. A massive explosion followed.

The Infantry Commander watched, unmoveably, this explosion. He slowly turned to the remaining Jorro'kil. "Well, back your things, troops. We're moving out."

They all looked at him, then eachother, then back to him.

"This is gonna be a long fight." Remarked one of them.

Endar saw the horror and chuckled in his throat. The sight of the gores and the death always brought happiness to Karthla. Suddenly three Jorro'kil Berserker approached him, he had no guards around him now that the Horders were spread everywhere attacking. He pulled two large signature Karthla assassin blades from the holsters he fasioned from pod vines on his waist. The berserks blasted him, he suffered three shots in the abdomen. Yet they healed from the Father's great regeneration abilities. He then took his swords and ripped the heads off of each of them. He snarled in anger then kept walking. Nothing would stop him from this mission...

Largus started spewing the Karthlian Volcanic acid on massive crowds of enemy soldiers. Each of them would be eaten up by the horrendous acids of the Karthla's specially designed demise.

After the Infantry Commander and his troops had retreated, we take you back to Xhuune and the two soldiers...

"Here it is." Said Xhuune. He pointed at the cleverly camouflaged transport, which was painted to resemble leaves, woods and dirt, and was covered with leaf-covered branches, appearing to surround it. These branches could easily be removed, however.

"Huh, neat, so, let's get going." Said one of the soldiers. Suddenly, behind them, a pair of Karthla Infanty appeared. They fired their projectile weapons and scored direct hits, but the soldier's personal enegry shields took the brunt of the blow. They fired back with their BA Rifles, and dropped the two Infantry. But then more appeared. More and more of them. The officer and his troops could barely keep up with the numbers, they shot one another appeared to take its place. They kept shooting, but eventually their rifle's Ballistic ammunition clips ran out, so instead of reloading, they switched over to the plasma fire option of their rifles, and continued to fire. Three Karthla Infantry synchronized fire on the transport, and damaged to so badly it was near useless.

Just when it seemed hopeless, out of the brush, came a Jorro'kil Berserker. He ran right into the bulk of the Infantry and started slashing them into gory bits. Then came several more soldiers, followed by an officer Minor. They combined fire with Xhuune's troops, and started shooting away at the horde of Karthla Infantry.

The dreaded Mother Lazor was still in the rising Podra hive. She sat inside the Father Pod in front of a large pond drilled into the rocky ground and filled with green slime. Most Karthla females spend their time fantasizing and daydreaming. She stood and looked at her reflection she tapped the waters and began to sing a Karthla song that is favored amonst females. She dreamed of the pain she would inflict, she began to implant small seeds from her clawed finger into the water, a liquid containing seed-like cells. Suddenly about three minutes passed and a large pit of monsters arose from the pondish crater. Many Premature Gorgers, Vorasks, Gorasks, Horders, and other creatures of the night emerged from the decolate liquid. Another generation yet to cause bloodshed.

Neoma was in her Housing Stalk, resting in a pool of toxic slime. Right outside of the pit, her slime sac pulsed a bit, an egg inside likely starting to hatch. She looked at it, waiting for her child to emerge, and waiting for some meat to be delivered to her. She was somewhat hungry, and her children would be, too. She wouldn't deny them a meal, she couldn't. She gulped down some sludge, trying to fill the pit in her stomach. Some Karthla were supposed to be bringing back some Jorro'kil meat soon. Her mouth watered at the thought.

After the Officer Minor and his troops had finished mopping up the hordes of Karthla Infantry, Xhuune walked over and addressed him.

"Officer, many a thanks for your help, but, where did you come from? Are there reinforcements nearby? we-" Said Xhuune.

"No, we were sent here to find any remaining troops near the bridge, it's been taken over by Karthla." Replied the Officer.

"Our unit was attacked, and this is but half of what it once was." He pointed to his troops.

"Our transport, fortunately, is well-Guarded. We're bring you back to the last remaining Colony." The Officer started to turn around, when a surprised and saddened Xhuune said; "The last...Colony? They've destroyed that much?" He said, gravely.

"I'm afraid so....we should get going." The officer replied. With this, he turned around, and started to walk back from whence he came, towards the Transport. the other soldiers all began to follow him.

Xhuune took a look back, at all the dead Karthla and sighed. He turned around, and followed the rest of the troops back to the transport.

They all arrived to see the transport's guards under fire from Harvested and Infected Jorro'kil, however none of them were armed. The soldiers quickly reacted and pulled otu their combat knives, and Close Quarters Shotguns, which they were all equiped with to fight the Karthla with at close range. The two officers, the infantry, and the berserker all rushed in. Unfortunately, one of the soldiers was overwhelmed by Harvested Jorro'kil, and met a very bloody demise. He was ripped apart by their vicious attacks. The Berserkers managed to kill all of these after an intense 15 seconds, and blood lay all over the ground, and him. The rest of the Infantry went around, checking to make sure the infected and harvested were all dead. If anything moved, they would shoot it. Some things did move, but if they did, it was the last move they would ever make.

After everything was sure to be dead, the 10 remaining Jorro'kil (two officers, one berserker, seven infantry) loaded up, single file, into the transport. After they were all aboard, it lifted up, and took off. Off to regroup, off to make a final stand. Off to die, off to live, off to win, off to lose.

A bulky male Karthla Vorask entered the room. He slopped a dead Jorro'kil in from of Neoma. He gave her a nod of respect and dare not looked her in the eye. Her being a Varborask, made it impossible for him to have a social interaction with her. All words spoken to her had to be of nonsocial topics. He then walked out of the house.

Suddenly nearly fifty zombified Jorro'kil mutants busted into the area just outside the colony's gates. They growled and snarled, they were overrunning the Jorro'kil. Come to think these were once normal people with normal lives. They mobbed about seven guard who were not fast enough to escape. They crowded them, then with their flesh tearing claws they stripped the guards of their skin. The birdmen screamed with pain. The monsters bit into him, tearing and chewing, tearing and chewing. One of them was on the ground, a bulky Jorro'kil mutant stalked over to the wounded Jorro'kil. Not many mutants were near this one, most were near the others. This mutant stripped the armor right off of the Jorro'kil guard. Once a mutant, Jorro'kil claws strengthen, sharpen, and grow to long lengths. He ripped the armor off, then he ripped right into the poor soldier's stomach and tore the flesh right out, bloody strings of flesh flung everywhere, releasing a purple liquid known as Jorro'kil blood. He then clawed the throat of the soldier who was screaming his head right off. As his screams became louder and as more mutants had finished off the other soldiers, they began to mob him more...

The Gore could almost be heard, as if gore itself was a sound. The screams and horror outside the Gate did not go unnoticed, and after the Infected and Harvested citizens had finished their animal feast of the guards, they again mobbed together, to charge for the main gate.

It was almost as if they were telepathic, as they all thought a series of simple, constant thoughts.

Fight....kill....food.....move....kill....food.....feast...move....fight....kill....food......feast....

They did not meet with little opposition. Their food, was going to fight back.

Two Ultargunners appeared out of the Colony Gate, and opened fire with their mini-guns. The mob was cut down in seconds, and almost exploded with blood after taking hundreds of rounds evenly spread out through the whole horde.

Suddenly from the fog of the night came Mother Radus. She was one of the minor mothers, she would destroy these ultragunners if it took all of her strength, but then again... it wouldn't..

She hissed, then using the strange Karthla voodoo she pushed her hands in the air forwards. (Actually using Karthla air pressure technology) The two ultragunners were knocked over unconsious. She walked past them, her black cape skitted across their faces as she stepped over their bodies. She suspected that only more reinforcements would come, but she did not fear...

Suddenly a huge mob of Jorro'kil soldiers approached. They saw that she was a hive mother, so they raised their guns up but did not fire. "Freeze!" they yelled. Mother Radus drew a blade from a holster fasioned of vines from her waist. It was coated in a purple web of poison. She sneered, grinned, and even giggle a bit. For a Karthla she was very beautiful, but not when she was in battle. She hissed a bit.

Suddenly a huge roar was heard that could bust somebody's ear out. The ground rumbled and knocked everybody over except Radus, however she almost did. She struggled to stay up. Suddenly a huge Gorger, larger than half most buildings emerged from the fog covered night behind Radus. She cackled, now a doom was upon the Jorro'kil...

Neoma gave the Vorask a nod of approval. Karthla were not allowed to speak to each other in certain cases, and this was one of them. Vorasks were not permitted to speak to Varborasks. However, body language was another manner, and Neoma would be kind enough to acknowledge what the Vorask had gone through to get the food. As soon as he had left, a tiny juvenile Karthla head popped out of Neoma's slime sac. Her first child from this clutch had hatched. She took a huge bite from the Jorro'kil, chewing slowly, to savor the taste, and to show him it was edible. She motioned with her head, and he stepped out of the sac. He was slightly unstable on his legs, and he tottered a bit, but he would quickly gain his balance, as all her children did. She ripped a chunk of meat from the carcass and tossed it towards her son. He quickly began to eat it, seeming to strengthen with every bite. He would be very strong when he was ready to fight. Soon, the others shall come. She thought. She regretted that she couldn't keep her sons for very long, but she could keep her daughters with her for a long time. Eventually, though, they all had to leave the nest, eventually. Even for a Karthla mother like her, it was a bit painful.

Father Dorlus entered the house as he passed the Vorask. He stopped in front of Neoma and her child and spoke. Fathers and Mothers were permitted to speak to each other, no matter the topic.

"Mother Neoma, nearly twenty other Varborasks have been found dead. I must ask that you burrow down deeper into the darkest chambers of this stalk to protect your kin" said Dorlus eyeing the both of them. "If matters get worse, you may even have to retreat to the Father Pod"

Neoma nodded, nudging her son into the slime sac with the eggs and slinging it over her shoulder. "Very well, Father Dorlus. I shall do this. And should this murderer come for me, he will be my children's first meal." She hissed, her red eyes narrowing, "I am not vulnerable, but I should prefer that my children remain safe until they are ready to fend for themselves. For now, I will kill any intruder that comes near." She was very honest with this, as she got next to a hole in the floor, which was where the stalk descended into the ground. "Until then, I shall remain here." She said, descending into the hole. She would keep going down until she was at the very bottom. If she was lucky, the killer would think she wasn't home, or the stalk was abandoned. But that was unlikely. He would probably come for her, and when he did, she would make him into her next meal and her children's first taste of blood.

The Mother and the Gorger approached, thinking they would be the ones to finish the last colony.
However, the Jorro'kil didn't think so. The Ultra Gunners thick armor protected them, so, from behind the giant Gorger, they approached, Mini-Turrets at the ready, and fired rapidly at the beast. The missile pods on the two watch towers beside the colony entrance activated, locked on to Mother Rdaus, and fired several rockets.


Meanwhile....

Flying overhead, on the other side of the Colony, was Xhuune and the ten troops accompanying him. The transport's speed decreased, and soon its altitude began to drop. Underneath, techies and soldiers ran about, preparing the landing pad for the transport, carrying crates and weapons, etc..

The Gorger shrieked as a bath of blood emerged from its giant hunkering body. Radus took the rockets and fell backwards. However still surviving the great attack she got back up and readied her poison blades. She shrieked, piercing the ears of many people and lunged herself forward to attack..

Dorlus made a confused face at this Hive Mother. Why was she so kind with her children? Mothers are always supposed to protect their children, however to show the kindness and peaceful acts was considered wierd or taboo.

Dorlus was sickened by this act of love. He nearly vomited on the spot, he turned around and walked out of the stalk, hoping not to see anymore traits of this manor with the other females.

The UltraGunners couldn't stay behind the Gorger forever, incase more infantry or horders appeared from behind them. So, they slowly made their way around the wounded Gorger, and got up beside Mother Radus. They could kill here, but that would take a lot of ammo from their Mini-Guns. Still, they were almost to the Colony Gate.


Meanwhile.....

Xhuune's transport touched down to the landing pad, amazingly unharmed. He jumped out of the back hatch, and approached what looked like an official, possibly incharge of the Port crew and techies.

The Official was looking down at a Datapad when Xhuune approached him.

"Eh, you in charge of the port crew?" Asked Xhuune.

The official looked up.

"Yes, I am. We're scrambling to get all the transports ready for the civilians..." Said the official.

"I see, to join up with the dropships for the other cities?" Replied Xhuune.

"Eh, other cities? You must not know, they've all been destroyed. This is the last one left intact. and we've only got two cruisers to provide fire support and a viable means of escape. Of course, the Military isn't leaving. We're gonna fight it to the last, the civies, however, are going."

Xhuune looked slightly stunned.

"....uh...thank you, for that information." Xhuune slowly walked away.

Karthla were still scrambling the signals, absolutely no transmitions would get through and allow the Jorro'kil a chance of escaping the planet. By now the entire southern atmosphere of the planet had been consumed by an armada of Raid Pods plummetting to the ground. If reinforcements do arrive, the Karthla are well ready for them.

Meanwhile...

Father Dorlus was now inside the heart of the lead Father Pod, sitting in a large organic throne was the noxius Father Karvell, one of the most furious Karthla Fathers ever to be known.

"My lord, as you have suspected, the Jorro'kil have slain nearly twenty of the mothers... I.. I have done my best to shield the remaining seventy from the waves that approach, but I fear that our outter defenses may not be very well established. The pods will not birth enough Horders in time" said Dorlus.

The beastly monster Karvell spoke. He had a low voice and his thorny evil armored body began to make a cracking sound when he moved.

"Go and release the virus, the Gas Pods will not fail us this time. Keep producing Mothers from the breeding pods and help them birth more children. Bring me... commander of Jorro'kil so that terror will enflame the resisting forces" said Karvell.

"Yes my lord" said Dorlus exiting the dark room.

Within a short course of time, about twenty of the eggs Neoma had laid had hatched. By this point, eighteen of the children were too old to remain with their mother. So far, they were all male. She hissed and attacked them, forcing them out of her housing stalk. Once they were outside, they were no longer her concern. She no longer had to care for them, or even bother saying goodbye to them. It was personally a bit painful, considering that they were her kids, but by the time they reached adulthood, most male Karthla became incredibly nasty. They grew hostile, as most Karthla males did, and they were ready for war.

Since the cruisers would need some sort of proof the Transports were Jorro'kil only and not Karthla, since the COMM had been disrupted, the transports would be equiped with a monitoring system, which was connected to a glowing light on the top. When a transport had a Jorro'kil/Multiple Jorro'kil, the light ontop would be pure blue. If it had any other sort of life-form in it, the light intop would be Red. If it held both jorro'kil and another species, it would be half blue and half Red.

Meanwhile....


We join JFO soldier Kau'Xen as he rides around from the back of the Colony on a small, light vehicle, quite fast.

Kau'Xen is barely sweating, and rides with a grave calmness.

When he arrives at his destination, a point not too far from the Colony, Kau'Xen gets off. He then reaches for his Zone-Pad, to coordinate the airstrike planned to deter what would most likely soon be a huge force of Karthla.

(Please don't have anybody notice ihm or try to attack him yet, thanks. also, I have no idea how I started talking in the third person.)

Xorti had seen the huge karthla force from the highlands. He had been returning to the city to file his report. Now he was running from the massacre. Xorti wasn't a coward, he was a survivor. At the moment, he was running down a mountain gorge being chased by two karthla battalioneers. He could easily kill them but he would need to slow down. And then other karthla could catch him.

Running was the best option. Then Xorti noticed a dead treeholding back a rock slide just ahead of him. Xorti sped up and ducked low. Then he used his energy claws to break the tree. The rocks came down as Xorti ran off. Screams of death escaped the karthla as the rocks crushed them. Xorti slowed to a jog. To escape the hordes and hopefully find an escape route from the planet.

Neoma was aware she had confused the Hive Father with being kind and gentle to her children, but she didn't care how disgusted he was by it. They were Karthla, but when children were born, they often seemed to get hurt. Their mothers were incredibly harsh, and sometimes forced children to do things. However, usually, Neoma's children still acted like Karthla, and usually, because she was more calm and collected, compared to females that spent their time dreaming, Neoma seemed to be in better health, as were her children.

You couldn't tell her sons apart from normal Karthla, because they became vicious towards her later in life. That betrayal showed it was in their blood. They were truly heartless, to turn on their own mother, who had not made them fight their way to food. It made them hard when they grew, and Neoma could see that. There was nothing wrong with being proud of her kids.

Because she was less stressed, Neoma seemed to produce more Karthla compared to other mothers. Nobody understood that there was more to eggs and children than just force. Neoma's children were smart, they could figure out more, and they were very energetic. She was just doing what she was supposed to.

Xartex emerged from a master pod. He flexed his long tendrils and stretched his wings. Green goo covered him from head to claw but it was a comfortable experience. As he emerged, some of the smarter karthla moved away, making a ring around him. As if there was a mine fed surrounding him. Then Xartex noticed that they where all just out of range of his tendrils. A small chuckle escaped his mouth as he walked through the massive hive. The empty field moved with him. After about fifty feet, a karthla mother approached. She was younger then Xartex and showed obvious fear. Xartex put his stolen energy claws on his back, out of the way. Anyway, he preferred to use whips. The mother walked into the emptiness timidly. Xartex lifted his tendrils and curled them like two whips. They where.

The mother had taken Xartex through the hive, between the structures and up to the surface. Then she walked him to a large arena-like zone. Huge primary pods enclosed the area and green sludge coated the floor. In the centre, a large group of Jorro'kil where sat, guarded by karthla. There where a few soldiers, but most where women and children. They where all crying, as most survivors did. Xartex's three tounges moved around his three mouths. When the karthla saw Xartex, two of them moved towards a child jorro'kil. They pulled the child from it's mother. The women screamed as they dragged the child over to Xartex.

"No, let's work our way up to that." Xartex chuckled, then he pointed towards the screaming mother. "Lets start on her." He grinned. Not a good look for a karthla. The woman was dragged by her arms towards Xartex. "Let's go somewhere private." Xartex looked towards the karthla mother.

"There is a housing stalk free. You can go there." She looked terrified. But she already started walking. Xartex unfolded his whips and turned towards the Jorro'kil woman.

"Move." He muttered and whipped her. The woman screamed and her baby screamed to. The karthla guards pushed the child over. Purple blood dripped down the womans back and clothes. The two whip cuts bled constantly. It was a deep injury and would leave a permanent scar. But it wouldn't matter. Xartex whipped her again and roared "MOVE!!" in jorro'kil this time. A skill he'd developed after years of torture. The woman fell and screamed but still tried to crawl away. This was gonna be fun.

Dorlus now stood out in the far edges of the growing hives. The gas pods had now grown and were ready for activation. Standing next to Doruls was Darlox, an evil Karthla Father, as well a general.

Dorlus walked up to one of the pods and stuck his arms in a socket that drove deep into the plant. Suddenly the pod was activated and the top opened up like a flower. Greenish and purple gas began to spew out. In three days the entire planet would be dead, unless the Jorro'kil brought out their bio troopers...
