"What the heck?!" Kau'Xen said.

He breifly looked behind himself, to see Xartex standing there, holding the rifle which had just been fired at Kau'Xen's head, which missed.

Now, having no where to go, he decided to engage both Karthla at once.
He slung his Rifle over his back, pulled out his Combat Knife and stabbed Gorlox in the chest. He then proceed to unsling his Rifle, turned out, and fired at Xartex in bursts of five rounds.

Xartex dodged the rifle shots and slammed his fist into the closest wall. The building shook as Xartex's forearm sunk through the wall. He grabbed a few cables from within the wall and yanked them free. Now he had more weapons. As he did all this, he was firing the rifle at Kau'xen. Then he swung his three tentacles like whips, they covered the distance and was on track to cause Kau'xen considerably pain.

Kau'Xen's Power Armor's energy shielding held up against the rifle fire, but if those cables touched him, he was done for. So, Kau'Xen fired at them with his BA Rifle. Full Auto on the Plasma charge, since he had about wasted his ballistic ammo clip and didn't have time to reload.

Gorlox's chest was healed by many overlapping weeds emerging from his arteries and restitching his skin back together. The acidic blood that had fallen had now burned away on the ground. Gorlox growled and launched forward with his claws in the air about to tackle the enemy and kill him.

Kau'Xen, whith deadly enemies infront of him and behind him, had only one way to go- up. He remembered the small platforms up on the walls which the Karthla Spiders where jumping to and from. So, he pulled out a fragmentation grenade, primed it, through it on the ground, waited two seconds, and jumped. The next second the grenade went off, and propelled him upwards onto one of the small platforms.

Kau'Xen's shielding had been completely depleted, and some of his leg armor was slightly charred, but he was alive and able.

Gorlox in anger spits out a massive vortex of green fiery volcanic acid. (that's all for that post really)

After regaining some of his stamina, Kau'Xen jumped to another, higher platform. Then to one on the other wall. he looked up and all aorund him, and spotted a set of stairs. If he could get up to them it would give him some time to get away from Xartex and Gorlox.

Gorlox wasn't fast enough. He began to spew the goop from his throat that acted as pod seeds. They landed on one of the platforms and Gorlox smiled wickedly. Black veins began to corrode the platform and then vines emerged and hooked onto two other platforms.

Kau'Xen panted for a moment, then jumped to the next platform, paying no attention to the inefctious seeds gradually crawling after him. He finally reached a platform near the outside stairway, and jumped.

Kau'Xen just caught the edge of the "floor" of the stairway, and after a few moments of struggling managed to pull himself up, and over the stairway "gates."

Gorlox growled. Extending his claws he leaped onto the side of the building and began to climb after him. Growling and snarling, he kept climbing and was quite fast. (sorry for short post)

Hearing Gorlax coming after him fast, Kau'Xne started to scramble up the stairs. Even a glance behind him would slow him down. After running up two flights of stairs Kau'Xen reached the rooftop, looked around, and, seeing another somewhat undamaged building next to the one he was on, jumped over. It wasn't as sound as he had hoped, and Kau'Xen came crashing down onto the top floor through the roof.

Gorlox reached the top of the building he climbed. Seeing that Kau'Xne jumped over to the other building, he leaped with his Karthla might and pounced through the roof into the building with Kau'Xne. He landed near the Jorro'kil.

Kau'Xen, somewhat stunned by the sudden crash, managed to lift himself up to meet Gorlax. He now had ot fight with a slught limp in his leg, as his leg armor hadd already been damaged by the grenade jump.

"Agh..ack.." Kau'Xen grumbled, managing to pull out his rifle and start firing at Gorlox.

Gorlox pulled himself off of the ground. A bit of green blood spilt from his carniverous mouth. He spat out a gob of wierd blood and snot and got up on his feet. He approached the Jorro'kil laughing a bit. When he approached he punched the soldier in the head knocking him down.

"You stupid little fool!" he said.

Kau'Xen didn't say anything but, seeing his BA rifle did little against Gorlox, pulled out his Combat Knife. "Heh, I guess you like getting stabbed then." Kau'Xen finally said. He took a defensive stance, ready to stab Gorlox at any moment.

Gorlox growled and quickly slung a tendril from his arm that grabbed Kau'Xen's neck. He slung him across the room avoiding the knife. Karthla were weak in the heart and he couldn't allow that to be stabbed.

The Jorro'kil grunted and strained to get out of Gorlox's tentacle's grip.

"This is awfully weak of you." Said Kau'Xen, trying to taunt the commander in desperation.

Kau'Xen managed to slash at the Karthla's tentacle, releasing Kau'xen form the creature's grip. The Jorro'kil looked around, spotted a door, and ran to it. He pushed open the old door and ran down a flight of steps.

Gorlox leaped into the air and darted into the door busting it. Seeing Kau'Xen running he leaped down the sides of the winding stairs to get to the bottom. He climbed like a monkey on the rails chasing after the pathetic soldier.

Kau'Xen heard the acrobatic Gorlox racing after him, and shouldered his BA Rifle. He fired at every sight of the Karthla, while continueing to race down the stairwell. He finally reached the bottom floor, and exited the building via a backdoor.

Gorlox reached the bottom and exited the building. But now the soldier had vanished. He growled in anger as he had failed to do his duty to exterminate the remaining Jorro'kil.

He puffed in rage and gritted his teeth. With anger he rushed off.

Kau'Xen, after exiting the building, ducked behind several foul-smelling trash cans nearby. He had hoped that his own scent, which Gorlox would most likely be able to track, would be covered by the stench coming from the trash cans. It did, and he watched as Gorlox grumbled off down the street.

Kau'Xen stood up, and, after pausing a moment to see if there were any more Karthla, stood more at ease. He opened one of the lids of the trash cans to see exactly what was causing the foul stench, and inside he saw a dead body, a Jorro'kil.

Kau'Xen was disgusted at the sight of the rotting body, the Karthla may have thought it a joke, or wanted to insult the honor of the Jorro'kil. Either way they must be made to pay. Kau'Xen shook his head.

Down by the beaches...

Several feeding pods were near the outter beaches and were connected to the pods drilling below underground. It wasn't common to see an underground podra, but every once in a while it would happen. Three Gravlars herded a large mob of Jorro'kil citizens to the mouths of the hungry feeding pods which fed the hive protein. They screamed as the Karthla threw them into the gaping maws of the pod mouths and were chewed to death and crunched into the smallest of bloody pieces.

A few hungry Horders began to pick a few of them off as snacks to regain strength. Ripping their ribcadges open they sucked out all sorts of blood and flesh. The citizens screamed as help was far from near.

The leader of the Karthla pack, a Varbresh named Larvarn growled to the Horders. They were two slow. He gave a loud grunt of a Karthlese word. The Horders quickly dropped the carcasses of the (partly alive) civilians and threw almost ten more into the pods.

Larvarn growled and narrowed his eyes. The production of the day was slow. The city was in sight and they still hadn't reached it. Suddenly from the hill the city stood on came Gorlox. He ran down to Larvarn. They greeted each other by pressing their faces up against each other then gave out grunts and puffs of pleasure.

Gorlox then turned from Larvarn and began to examine the pods.

The last intact city had been fighting the Karthla waves for about an hour, then the hordes suddenly stopped coming. It had been like that for the past hour and a half. The city's exterior guard remained as vigilant as if the attack was still ongoing, but so far there had been no further assualts.

Meanwhile....


Kau'Xen had continued walking down the streets, until he finally heard the sounds of gunfire, Jorro'kil gunfire. He headed down another street, and sure enough standing their were four Jorro'kil guards, and behind them a pile of rubble with a makeshift door cut into it. He approached the four guards.

"Ah, good. I've finally found you lot. I'm Kau'Xen, rank, er, JFO. Where's the Commander?"

He asked.

"We thought there were no other survivors in the city, just Commander Ne'Javik's group." One of the guards said.

"There haven't been any Karthla to come this way, surprisingly. You're the first we've seen over here, uh, Kau'Xen."

"Yeah, well, I wasn't here when this place was annihilated, I just arrived about an hour ago. I managed kill some Karthla, and after somewhat of a chase even outwitted a Karthla, which I believe was a Commander Class." Kau'Xen continued: "So yes, I've come a ways to get here. Er, where is Commander Ne'Javik? I need to talk to him." Said Kau'Xen.

"Yes, of course, he's through here." A guard said, while opening the makeshift doorway cut into the rubble pile. "Should be standing by a Holo-desk, that's where he was on last shift "inside." "

"Ah, thanks." Said Kau'Xen, He walked through the rubble doorway and found himself in a sort of barricade, standing besides four other guards who were defending the inner rubble wall, and there, several feet away from him, was Commander Ne'Javik. Standing at a Holo-desk, just as the guard on the outside had said.

Several Karthla Pod fighters were flung from the beaches out towards the base. They carried Bomb Pods and the virus. As soon as they spotted the base, they released the virus bombs and many Karthla Horders dropped from the sides of the ships to the ground below, they were equipped with blades and infection ammo.
