Multiple attacks had began around the main Kardesh area. A dozen small camps had been overrun by the floods of Kardesh monsters. They infected and butchered and multiplied. But still, the main fortress was advancing. The outer Walls around the infected forest had strengthened and grown. Now simple creatures could be created within the wall. On the inside, huge towers dotted the area with other flesh structures surrounding them. At the first mountain, the main structure had grown up to the summit. Now it was an alpine fortress that commanded the other forms.

A small, walled jorro'kil town was under attack by a small Kardesh assult. The soldiers where making a good stand against the monsters but the enemy kept coming. For every creature they killed, another took it's place. The towns leader was hiding in the town hall but he was still in command. The soldiers kept pushing the monsters back as they awaited help but ammunition was low. Suddenly, a huge explosion shoot the town as part of the Wall was blown apart. A tank form strode through the gap in the wall and absorbed the jorro'kils gunfire. A torrent of infected creatures flowed into the town and spread like a plague. They leapt onto the soldiers, infecting them instead of killing them.

The plague closed in on the town hall but the jorro'kil had one last trick. The soldiers ducked as houses around them exploded in huge fire balls. The infected fell like flies and it didn't take long to mop up any survivors. They found the yank lying dead near where one of the explosives had been. They had won.

Or had they? One of the jorro'kil noticed a shadow. It was sat there, not being cast by anything. The soldier looked up. But too late. He was killed in seconds. Another place began. Huge flying beasts, half a dozen meters in length descended on the town. They looked like bats with huge, mantis like claws. They scythed through the enemy, leaving them in a dozen pieces. The first scavengers had been born.

In the town hall, the mayor sat shaking. He head screams and combat outside and wanted to run. But he couldn't. He couldn't outrun those creatures. He heard gun fire at the door. Then screams and jerking. The doors flew inwards as an orange creature stalked in. It looked like a new jabban but had those awful trade Mark mutations. Tenticles and extra limbs and fleshy growths. The creature came forward and cut the mayor with one of it's elongated claws. The jorro'kil fell back as the monster approached. It cut and sliced and tore until the mayor was no more than bones.

Dorlox and his minions had reached the hive and were digging under the ground as HUGE tentacles and living pods and Drilosphats burrowed down deep as pods and weeds filled the holes. They were digging to the core!

The pods churned and crunched away so much dirt in such a fast time, the ground begin to shake with their monsterous furocity.

Kau'Xen and Commander Ne'Javik were rushed along once they left their dropships when they arrived in the last colony, escorted by a mob of Jorro'kil Urban Combat Units.

Kau'Xen tilted his head and spoke in a low tone to Commander Ne'Javik.

"Looks like we're going to be questioned or something, I've never been rushed around like this with this many guards before." He said.

"I concur, there must be some issue, among the many which concern us all, which the governer wishes to discuss with us. Perhaps it is one of inquisition, which seems likely." Replied Ne'Javik. His way of speech seemed to have changed slightly, atleast it did to Kau'Xen.

"Yeah.." He replied.

"Hmm, there's something odd about this fellow....or maybe I'm just loosing my sense of perception....as if that would have anything to do with it...." The JFO thought to himself.

He and Ne'Javik were marched up the stairs of the City's Main Hall, a UCU unit went to open the door, and in they went....

Suddenly many of the Drilosphats drilled deep underground following the pods that dug as well. They were going at a speed faster than anything imaginable. They were miles below, reaching the next layer of the planets ground.

Dorlus stood above ground now as many of the Israh slaves and Horders, and other sorts of monster dug and dug down hard. The ground began to rumble and shake all throughout.

The cruiser hovering overhead the last colony had lost Communication with the colony below, however with a life-form scanner equiped they can scan dropships approaching to make sure no Karthla life is onboard. The Jorro'kil Military had already been preparing dropships for quicklaunch, and the first one had alerady been prepared. This one was filled with civilians, males only, however. The Military wanted to make sure the Karthla didn't have any surprises waiting for them in the air.

It was prepped for launch, the countdown had been skipped. The engines roared to life, and the dropship was propelled from its vertical position like a rocket. It zoomed up into the sky. But then, a projectile, organic, sped toward it, almost melting, collided with the dropship mid-flight, causing the craft to sputter and spark, and then it finally exploded. Karthla Anti-Air, most likely given to them by the Dominion. Not good. The Jorro'kil would have to send a team behind the lines to take it out. The stakes are high. The enemy numerous. They Military had better pick their team well.

Remembrance of planet Darnil, subdued by Karthla infection. Two survivors.

"And so, we stand here this day, in honor, and remembrence, of our fallen. They fought to defend Darnil from Karthla infection. Our war is over. The Dominion has fallen, but let us not forget those who did not live to see the end. We salute them." The speaker stood down, and officials approached the survivors of Darnil. Xhuune R'eviik and Kau'Xen Corlassan. Rifle shots, fired in honor, resounded through the fields. The soldiers present snapped a crisp salute. Xhuune and Kau'Xen themselves saluted, and both were given the Medal of Victory, an honor extremely rarely bestowed.

Xhuune was firm and unmoving, and Kau'Xen almost alike, save for the unoticeable moisture gathering in his avian eyes, a burning anger gathering.
