Re: The Disruption (OOC)
I'm thinking that I shall introduce my Vil-Nolwikkans before the 10-year skip. Is anybody interested in them?
Re: The Disruption (OOC)
Do you have a wiki entry or a sheet that we could see?

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
The wiki is still a work-in-progress, but I have the sheet right here:
Nolwikkans don't really like clothing. It is understandable, considering the crests all over their body. Leather is particularly uncomfortable; It's heavy, and sometimes tears the skin on their head crests.
Don't worry, the soldiers and generals are much more impressive.
StheT wrote:Empire Name: Vil-Nolwikkan Greater Dominion , AKA Vil-Nolwikkan Confederation
Creator: StheT
Sporecast: Progressing.
Species Name: Vil-Nolwik
Homeworld: Lanipus
Size: The Vil-Nolwikkans have a large empire at the inner galaxy. They border the Dominion, which is in the southern galaxy, according to them. Along with owning many planets near to or adjacent to the core, their empire spans halfway up the first arm.
Biology: Vil-Nolwikkans are very dinosaur-like. They stand upright, but they also have a six-foot long tail, with a fleshy crest running down its spine. One of the strangest features this creature has is the fact that it doesn’t have proper hands. Instead, they have large claws on their arms. Dispire not having opposable thumbs, early Nolwikkans lived easily, clutching items in their mouth, and sometimes in between the claw and arm. Nolwikkans are extremely smart, which also progressed their development in a world without arms.
Religion: Vil-Nolwikkans did not believe a god early on. During the civilization stage, religious nations arose, but were eventually crushed by the nation of Kzechon, which eventually unified Lanipus. However, one could say that the Nolwikkans worshipped the art of war. They practiced fighting from birth, and usually joined the military by age fourteen. Law states that they are unable to leave the army until age 20, where they could choose to stay or pursue other jobs. Around 40% of Nolwikkans stay in the military, while others leave. Despite the number, however, tens of millions of Nolwikkans still willingly serve in the military.
Culture: A Vil-Nolwikkan citizen’s common favorite hobbies include bonding with others, treating the alien slaves like dirt, eating, reading, and using their technology to their own advantage. By that, I mean they are selfish and hateful to everyone but their own kind, with very few exceptions. Nolwikkans are carnivores, and commonly eat muscly, lean, wild animals. Considered barbarians by aliens, Nolwikkans are easily offended by anti-Lanipans.
Nolwikkans rarely dress, and when they do it’s usually made for the claws, shoulders, or heads. They simply don’t have a need for clothing, except in battle.
Nolwikkans easily bond with each other. Often they could get engaged in huge conversations, usually through a walk in the woods, or exploring Lanipus’ famous Kingdom Waterfalls, in which many Nolwikkans camp, hunt, or even bathe in the water.
Military: All of the Vil-Nolwikkan military, with the exceptions of the huge starships, are divided into regiments
-The Enslaved Regiment consists entirely of captured enemy aliens. They never go into battle, except as distractions. Usually they are trained in the ways of the Vil-Nolwik.
-The Grey Regiment consists mostly of rookie Nolwikkans and captured aliens. They almost never go out on missions of their own. Usually, they are either used as distractions or set behind the main army, taking out enemies from afar.
-The Indigo Regiment consists of trusted aliens and Nolwikkans. The only thing deferring this regiment from the Greys is the fact that generals are more interested in keeping Indigo soldiers alive.
-The Yellow Regiment consists of better-trained and better-armored Indigo soldiers.
-The Blood Regiment is the second best. Most elite soldiers consist in the Blood regiment. This regiment sometimes scouts the battlefield post-battle and picks off remaining enemies. But usually they are in the battle, in the front lines, Slicing up the stronger soldiers for the rest of the army to handle.
-The Dark Regiment consists of very specialized soldiers, and almost no aliens. All Nolwikkan captains are members of the Dark Regiment. Other types of the dark regiment include missile carriers, “Slashers,” and “Barbarians”. (Slashers are melee warriors, while Barbarians are completely covered in armor, usually destroying enemies with little to no effort.)
This form of military also works in space and in water. There are Dark and Blood regiment ships and boats out there.
Government: Vil-Nolwikks have a kingdom. The oldest son or daughter of the king or queen is the heir to the throne. Unfortunately, this has led to violence among siblings. Several centuries ago, it was ruled that whoever killed the heir, whether it be assassin or sibling, would be tortured and executed in public. As expected, not much violence came afterwords.
The current ruler is Archlord Reskullus.
Style: Generals prefer an “orderly swarming style.” Regiments are in their own groups and cooperate with each other to give another regiment an advantage. One time a contest was held in the middle of a serious battle, for who could weaken the enemies enough for the Indigos to move in. The Yellow Regiment, surprisingly, won.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
I like it. The amount of detail put in the military and culture sections help to give a better idea of how they live and function. Not sure how much my input matters since I am new and can't actually approve the entry (to my knowledge). Plus your an admin, so I think you are set already. Nonetheless I thought I'd say 'Good job', if it matters.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
The ten-year time-skip has been initiated, so in both Disruption and Sandy retribution people are free to start up new storylines, like N_S and Stalker's empires meeting, or the battle between the Confed and the UFIAI/Kardesh/KGI.

Thanks for the update Whoster. Time for me to jump into the story. (I'll try to complete the wiki's too.)

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
I came in because I received word that there was room in the IC for me to do things, although I admit I haven't focused very much on the club when I should have. Ravage would be about thirty years old right now.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
It's alright; none of us have to dedicate all of our time to this club.
Anyways, does anyone feel like interracting with the Vil-Nolwikkans or the Xikarians?

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
Well, maybe someone should accidentally crash into Ravage's Star Strider again. She's notorious for somehow winding up right in the path of big spaceships and then having them fly right into her. This would be either her third or fourth time. It's a little bit of a running gag, I think.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
Doesn't matter, just say they heard a sudden thump and say that they hit something. Her Stealth Strider is pretty much the most advanced cloaking you could get, so nobody would notice until it was too late. Of course, you could say a strange, sleek black ship with blue lights materialized afterwards.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
I've kind of altered Ravage's personality a bit to something more negative and bitter, but that's kind of expected. She's been alone for a very long time.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
Ok, I'm officially confused.
1. We were planning on having the meeting just being Confederacy and UFIAI... Unless Whoster planned on including the Despot.
2. Absolute, the character that curius is controlling, is essentially the head AI of the entire UFIAI. How Jiiran got in there or why, I'm completely unsure. They could just end the war then with no questions asked if they're able to get in.
3. The meeting is under complete security lockdown on an almost complete shield world, a cloaked ship found hacking into the systems would have been found and destroyed nearly instantly by dozens of Covenant and Federation ships, and the defenses of the shield world. I think it would have made sense if the Markovans had completed diplomacy with the Jorro'kil, so their leaders would have been able to show up in person alongside the Jorro'kil and the other Confederacy leaders wouldn't be suspicious... And the very old leader of the entire UFIAI wouldn't have been sabotaged somehow.
This isn't anybody's fault, it's happened plenty of times... It's just that we need to plan ahead more. I could suggest editing the post, but I wouldn't want to take your work away from you... Maybe you could say they requested to be a part of the meeting using a hologram without hacking into Absolute or anything.
Also, I'd like to wish Vipera a happy birthday.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
The meeting between the Markovans and the Jorro'kil is taking place somewhere else, and is a different meeting entirely. As for Jiiran, one of the things about him is that he is constantly spying on everyone he can, and he is very good with technology and being able to fool the technology of others. He is also interested in getting the orbs. However, if what I just did with the cloaked ship is not working with everyone, I can just figure out something else instead.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
That wasn't the main problem I think the main problem was being able to hack into Absolute... If Jiiran can do that, he could evidently just end the war between the UFIAI and Confederacy there. I think what would be better is requesting to be part of the meeting rather than sabotaging the most advanced AI in the galaxy and being rather hostile in a total security system. That way, negotiations would probably be better with the Jorro'kil anyways and the Markovans wouldn't have most of the Confederacy after them.
If you want diplomacy with the Confederacy, that would be the best option imo.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
I think you seem to have the idea that Jiiran is part of the Markovan Empire. He is not. Jiiran is the leader of the Imperial Despot of Jiiran, which is made up mostly of the Mondarians. The two empires are not connected to each other at all.
If you want to speak about this more easily, I'll keep myself logged into the chat box.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
Ah, ok. I guess I was kind of confused. If Jiiran wants to be a part of the meeting at all, it would be best that he meet them in person. If it's discovered that he sabotaged the meeting and Absolute's AI, then he could have two wars on the Despot's footstep.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
Hmmmmmm, I'm not sure. He would most likely end up with war anyways. He's not interested in alliances unless he thinks they might serve a purpose. I'd need to think on that one.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
Tony, couldja edit your earlier post about the meeting of the Jorro'kil and Markovans to say something like "After a short wait the Markovans were escorted into the meeting room." ? Cuz I never actually said they were in the meeting room, but a waiting room.

Re: The Disruption (OOC)
Well, you could have told me about the plan to 'hack' Absolute, but that's okay for now. Absolute's systems are east and ever-moving, so it could be possible to slip a program to it, if that program were fairly passive. The AIs constantly share information, so the program is probably at the data-link. However, Absolute will most probably notice the program at the tower systems.
